They have us at #8

Then again they also think our game against Ga Tech has been canceled and our "picture" is TU cheerleaders the last time we played at either BYU of Air Force

that story you linked isn't worth much. We should probably do our own Power Ranking within the AAC. I'm guessing UCF would top everyone's list.

Here's mine:

UCF
Cincy
Houston
ECU
SMU
Tulane
USF
Temple
UConn
Tulsa
Memphis

I could be convinced to flip SMU and Tulane

If I were including Navy I'd slide them in right between ECU and SMU

In January Athlon ranked them like this (and I trust them far more than SportsRant):

Cincy
UCF
ECU
Houston
Tulane
Temple
USF
SMU
Memphis
UConn
Tulsa

A full AAC schedule, combined with CiC rivalries plus the Notre Dame game will grind Navy down, whatever their perceived status upon entry.

You may over-rank us but you definitely over-rank SMU.

Agreed on Navy. I was ranking based on right now. Not based on where they'll be 2 years from now.

SMU I think is falling apart. The question is just how quickly do they fall apart. Reverse of us. We are headed up I hope. The question is just how quickly.

SMU is more stale than falling apart. They'll divorce from Jones and look for a splash. I guarantee one online article about their pursuit of Jon Gruden.

I'm just amazed everyone has Cincy so high...............

with a big question mark on Offense (QB, RB, WR, OL) we're too hard to predict.

If Kiel is the goods, UC is as well positioned as anyone. Only UCF and Houston loom as other contenders.

The irony: UCF and UC don't play this year

UCF-Cincy-Houston those appear to be the top contenders for "best in conference". The sad thing is that, at one time, we were a better Program than any of those.

Don't forget Munchie was granted a 6th year. If he's healthy, Kiel (as presumptive starter, and #1 coming out of Spring) will have pressure on him of the veteran looking over his shoulder every time he throws a bad ball. A QB controversy could hurt them.

I think we'll do better (#4-5-6) than that, but it's not a ludicrous prediction.
Then again they also think our game against Ga Tech has been canceled
That tells you all you need to know about how well-informed this guy is. Next.
