Osetkowski might want to get an extra seat cushion
Texas just inked a 5 star 7 footer... he comes in with two 6-8 four stars... my guess is Osetkowski logs "Riley Conroy" level minutes for the 'horns next year... we certainly could have used him last year and this year... and yeah, I'm bitter.

JMac I'm bitter as well. He added a dimension we sorely lacked. Yes he was a step too slow, yes his Defense needed improvement...........but he was a terrific rebounder and legit scorer. Two things we lacked all year. He would have given us an inside presence that would have freed up others and, who know, maybe an ex-Pro Coach like Dunleavy might have molded him into a talent that might have had a future after college ball somewhere.

He seems to have gotten progress out of Blake Paul and Ryan Smith, so yeah, I'm thinking he might have helped Dylan.GreenieBacker wrote:JMac I'm biter as well. He added a dimension we sorely lacked. Ya think? We were tiny last year having him with no progress plus Smith and Paul we win enough games we are talking NIT bidgerryb323 wrote:He seems to have gotten progress out of Blake Paul and Ryan Smith, so yeah, I'm thinking he might have helped Dylan.GreenieBacker wrote:JMac I'm biter as well. Heck how about Frazier. He played toward the middle and end of the season (when the light came on) like a man possessed. His drives to the basket were like cannon shots. Just fearless and really disruptive. Fun as heck to watch.

Hard to stay bitter about him, when I realize that Tulane will fare better in the deal than he will.
Re: Osetkowski might want to get an extra seat cushion
Dylan's burnt orange dream has fizzled out .... reality check and pass the ball shorty.

think of all of those inside bunnies Smith missed last year that would have been easy stuff for Osetkowski... and his passing from the post would have made Frazier and Reynolds more lethal on drives to the rim

Dylan was also an excellent passer for a big man.

Sorry, but I stopped reading your post when you used the term "bunnies." Other ways to delete my interest are to use:
Uni
Hammy
Natty, for national championship
Vacay
Fam
Chill, as an adjective

you guys are right, his ability to pass the ball was sorely missed last year.

Re: Osetkowski might want to get an extra seat cushion
DO must have really hated the TU experience. Or Shaka Smart sold him a bill of goods. I could see if he went to a Kansas St, say, to play in the top 7-8 players. But Texas with their recruiting budget and ability to bring in talent? Going to be a tough deal once it's all said and done. Can't say I feel sorry for him. I thought it was a bad decision for him at the time, but I don't know all of the inner workings of things.
