Credit Jewett and staff for leaving Merrill in too long

Dangerous, dangerous spot here.

Bases loaded for the guy that hit the 3-Run Homer.

How does it take us so long to get a guy warming up?

Just poor decisions.

Was it the pitching coach position that we filled and then had to refill because the guy was shady?

Our current pitching coach sure hasn't impressed me at all. He hasn't been able to fix Massey.

How good was that catch? Graf says it'll be on sportscenter tonight.

Nevertheless, very important to have Hope making great contact.

Hope sent it a mile and the USF outfielder made a fantastic grab for Out 1.

Really good. We'll need to shut down USF's bats quickly in the 6th so it doesn't end up being the spark that rallied them back.

Tulane 6 -USF 4. We sent Corey back out to start the 6th with 106 pitches.

Are we really letting Merrill face this guy again?

Corey at pitch 125.

He's pitching to a guy with a homer already today and base runners on 1st and 2nd (HBP and BB).

Welp. Corey gives up a single, Tulane 6 - USF 5.

Corey is staying in.

All in all, outstanding effort by Merrill, considering he really didn't have it today. They clearly left him out there too long.

Got us through 6 with the lead, at least.

And if I was at the ballpark I would be standing and giving Corey quite the ovation...

Perfect scenario is he has 9 days rest and we see him next Friday.

Green Wave runners on the corners with 1 Out in the Top of the 7th.

This hard infield is really a factor.

When things aren't going good for the Wave, Graf sounds like his dog just died.

Double Play.

We go to the bottom of the 7th and it is up to Chase Solesky to hold on to a one-run lead.

I personally like that. I absolutely hate collegiate announcers that always sugar coat every scenario.

Solesky walks the lead-off Bull to start the Bottom of the 7th.
