Or, dude takes checked luggage tag off a bag, takes a couple photos of it wrapped around a beer he bought in the airport bar, and goes viral.

Either way, he's a mensch

Since it does not appear to be Southwest, did he pay $25 to check in maybe a $5 beer?

Then he'd only be a mensch if mensch meant idiotic attention whore.doncecco wrote:Since it does not appear to be Southwest, did he pay $25 to check in maybe a $5 beer?
But I'm still betting its fake. I'd be more convinced if there were other people and luggage around the luggage return.

I think Pete called it... but it's from Australia, so that beer may have been his boarding pass

Alright, so I'll admit it, I was wrong. The guy's just a fool and did it as a joke.

Re: Checked Baggage ...
I still say your first comment was correct... look at how loose the sticker is on the can.. if it had been checked, the sticker would be flush with the can. He could have stuck the beer on the carousel around the corner.. the whole story of "my mate works at the airport" is flimsy... so what if he works at the airport... they would need the check in agent to generate the luggage tag, not some random "mate at the airport".PeteRasche wrote:Alright, so I'll admit it, I was wrong. This is why rags like the NY Post should be embarrassed for carrying shiat like this... look at the original website.. look at the "stories" they have on the right side next to the article.

You are right. The biggest range I saw was on overnight flights to South America: household appliances, furniture, etc., all wrapped in multiple layers of industrial strength plastic wrap.olivengreen wrote:You would be shocked to see things people check.PeteRasche wrote:Or, dude takes checked luggage tag off a bag, takes a couple photos of it wrapped around a beer he bought in the airport bar, and goes viral.
