Some of our former players are getting some looks in the preseason.

Week 1:
Josh Rounds (Chicago) - 11 carries for 20 yards
Nico Marley (Washington) - 4 tackles
Lorenzo Doss - 1 tackle
Julius Warmsley - 1 tackle
Rob Kelley - 3 carries for 2 yards, 1 rec for 5 yards
Ryan Grant - 1 rec for 17 yards
Orleans Darkwa - 3 carries for 18 yards
Ryan Griffin - 4/9 for 57 yards
Tanzel Smart - 1 tackle

Several guys have yet to play in the preseason. Obviously some of the veterans won't play much or at all in the preseason.

Taurean Nixon was released by the Jaguars before last night's game. Royce LaFrance didn't record any stats with the Saints last night. Any word on him?

From what I saw when they showed Trubisky highlights, Doss was prominently featured (not in a good way...).

I don't see him listed as on their roster right now. If he is on the roster, he didn't have any touches in the hall of fame game last week

Updated the op with last night's stats. Cairo didn't kick for KC due to a groin injury. He should still be on track to be the Chiefs kicker this season. Tanzel should see some action with the rams this evening.

Xavier Rush signed by the Saints today

Tanzel did some stuff with the 2s, deflected a pass, got a tackle, made a couple QB hurries, and recovered a fumble tonight. Never really looked outmatched by OL even if he wasn't devouring double teams.

Three games last night, more to come over the weekend. I'll update as I can. No play time for Ryan Griffin last night, perhaps due to injury.

No tackles for Doss this week. Cairo still not kicking for the Chiefs.

I caught a bit of the Bears game and thought Rounds looked surprisingly good.

Cairo Santos - 1/1 FG, 3/4 PATs

No stats for Rob Kelley or Ryan Grant. Not sure either of them played much. Nico led the team in tackles last night.

Final cut downs for rosters will happen by tomorrow so we'll see where a lot of these guys end up. I think Smart, Kelley, Grant, Santos, Doss, and Darkwa are all in good shape. Warmsley, Marley, and Rounds will be up in the up air. Good luck to all the guys!

Rounds got a ton of carries in preseason. If he is cut, I'm sure he'll be resigned by Bears for practice squad (or whatever they call it now) or better yet perhaps signed by another team?

I just find it strange as to how the Bears worked him so much in preseason just to cut him at the finish line but we'll find out shortly.

Yes. He may come back this week (doubtful), but he would probably need some time to get up to speed anyway.
