I have never understood the logic behind this cheer

Post by Fan Since '54 »

Watching College Gameday today, which was from State College PA. There was a feature about USC QB Sam Darnold. The Penn St students were yelling "overrated. overrated". 1st off, Penn State is not playing USC this weekend. 2nd, if they were playing and they happened to beat him and USC, that accomplishment would be rendered pretty much "So what. They weren't worth a d@mn anyway". Taking away from their own accomplishment.

COMPLETELY STUPID CHEER!!!!

Pete, did you know that the word "hullabaloo" is also part of the Texas A&M fight song. Although that song may not be used any more since it is directed @ the University of Texas. Too bad. It is one of my favorite college fight songs. Check out the 0:10 mark below.

Hmm, I guess those students at Penn State now have a better understanding of what "overrated" means.

By now it's a fact worn cliche but the most amazing thing about the Aggie War Hymn is that it mentions its main rival by name and mascot more than A&M. I'm sure UT is grateful for the pub.

I can't believe they stormed the field. You're Ohio State. You don't storm the field.

I thought the same thing. They were #6 at the time. It's basically a game they should expect to win.

I get why they did it... Penn State fans made a lot of noise having beaten OSU last year, winning the Big Ten and not getting to the CFP... this is Ohio State fans rubbing their nose into the fact they aren't getting to the CFP this year, either.
