too early to move on yet. If Banks continues to develop with experience and if McClain is really the QB of the future it may be possible to move on but we do know now that we can do that?

Even then, it's not going to hurt to have an extra guy. Running QBs will get banged up over the course of the season.

ETA: It's by far the most important position on the field, one where we haven't had even average play in well over a decade...we play one good game against an FCS opponent, and people are ready to shut down recruiting? Unbelievable.

Adding Scott may induce one of the current group to move on. The reason to add him isn't to build depth but to get a better starter or replacement for Banks after 2018.

It creates depth by pushing everyone down a spot if he's the starter. If someone transfers, we'd have the same numbers but better quality. Win/win

If Banks has a Heisman-like season and goes pro as a junior, then we should be calling on Scott.

LOL. Your ambivalent Jay Cutler-face. I totally agree.

Isn't this a rematch from earlier in the season with Abraham's team winning? I'd have to think at this point Scott has to be on Fritz's mind. As LG noted above, we don't need Scott for depth. I think now we need him as a starter.

East won. Scott had 471 Passing, 104 rushing. Not too shabby. They will Play in the National JC championshp Dec. 3, I can't help but wonder where Scott will be visiting this weekend.

If we could get him with a couple of his linemen, we might look good next year.

If we hire the 10th coach that Tulane is trying to hire, we will have a great chance at Scott as well as many other top athletes in the state. This guy will make an immediate impact on players that would have never considered Tulane in the past.

Would that coach be someone from the Northshore who played for the Saints once upon a time?

Hire him, even if it's as the 9th coach.

I have no idea.
But if there's a guy who can recruit anywhere close to what the post suggests, we have to make room on the staff for him.
