Cairo pushes his first FG attempt for Da Bears wide right vs. the Eagles.

Feel bad for Cairo, but GO EAGLES.

Santos gets Da Bears on the board with his second FG attempt, a chip shot.

At least I thought the puberty comment was funny.

Nothing like the anonymous and very immediate internet to bring out the best in a team's fans after your new kicker misses a 54 yard FG attempt.

Meanwhile who at Tulane wouldn't wish desperately that Fritz can find Santos Jr. for next year's team?

Bears put him on IR today. He just couldn't catch a break this year

Good luck to Cairo. Terms?

He got pushed out of KC because when injured, Chiefs were able to sign a cheaper controlled contract rookie who kicked effectively. So KC didn't have to worry about losing FA Cairo and/or having to amp his contract for 2018.

Interesting that changes made by player unions to cap rookie/draftee comp in all pro sports in anticipation of that money going to FA vets has instead resulted in rookies and less experienced players being such relative bargains that many teams are happily signing latter and passing on some very capable vets who otherwise expected to be in the gravy.

Not universally applied; just look at how FA QBs are doing this offseason but meanwhile lots of Scott Boras clients have been rudely surprised this spring in MLB.

Yeah, if ever there was a time in NFL history where kickers should get another chance, it's this week. Several teams have had horrid kicking results already this year.

Browns signed a different licker

Signed by the Rams to fill in while Zeurlein is out. Hopefully he kicks well and can catch on somewhere else!

Hope he doesn't beat the Saints in 5 weeks.

As much as I raged when Cairo went to KC while Payton was doing his washed up kickers carousel, the Saints are now solid with Lutz - maybe the 2nd or 3rd best kicker right now behind Tucker and maybe McManus (aided by altitude, mind you).

With all the crap kicking right now (Browns, Chargers, Vikings, to name a few), you would hope Cairo gets another chance elsewhere once Zeurlein returns.

Yeah, he's probably gone from the Rams by then. Hope he takes advantage

Looks like he'll have a pretty good shot of getting a ring.

Saints kicker missed his first PAT to the right, then bounced his second off the left upright (lucky it went through). Wonder if they might consider making a change for a "local"
What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about?
