It's the sometimes annual "Education Day" game. Crowd will be supplemented by 500-1000 kids who have a good time and bring a certain unique liveliness to the game. I believe the atmosphere will be "shrill" and literally so.

S. Alabama on the 21st is also showing a noon start. Kind of sucks for those of us who work for a living.

Exactly. Not sure I want to take vacation day to go to an afternoon basketball game. Although by Wednesday, weather is supposed to start getting cold (highs of 50’s and possibly 40’s by Friday).

Unless we beat UNC, we are more likely to bring more kids (who are guaranteed to show up because it's a field trip) than adult ticket purchasers. Against South Alabama, where students are either wrapping up exams or already gone, the kids can replace them.

Even in our best years, games against uninteresting opponents right around the holidays (when everyone is busy with holiday activities and possibly shopping) have brought smaller crowds. I think these are the ideal games to do these promotions.

Too bad my flight leaves NO at 1:40pm or I’d have been there.

This is the one that really pisses me off.

The educational day is fine. I'm taking off work tomorrow to go watch.

However, one is enough. I doubt I'll be able to go to South Alabama. Then our conference home opener is NYE at 2pm? Very doody.

I absolutely do not understand why a game like this starts at noon on a workday. Please, just explain to me --- WHY?

Will there be ANY attendance at this game?

Hardly any team draws "well" in December. That has been true for decades. Tulane for some years has been trying to expose very young local kids to Tulane as future students and fans. So make it a school field trip.

Does it work? I don't know but at least we'll have 1000 or so very high voices (including mine!) yelling "Go Wave!" Come join us. In its own way, it will be surreally enjoyable especially if the Human Juke Box shows up.

the women's game against Vandy a few weeks ago had a very large contingent of kids on the freret st side of the arena and behind at least one of the baskets. I would expect this to be similar.

since the GSU game Tulane has been in a deep funk. Hopefully this game (and next) will allow us to get things back on track. Its pretty important for that reason.

My daughter is using my ticket. She's been trying to find a place to park for the last 20 minutes.

After registering these complaints, please do not also look fondly back at the days of giving football tickets to Boy Scouts or suggest doing so in the future. Thanks.

It looks reasonably well attended on TV. Wish I could have been there.

Playing good teams will do that to you. We need to improve so that when we struggle we can get through it. We aren't there yet.

We played really well and with lots of confidence. Cornish and Sehic were both terrific. Our second best performance of the year besides Colorado State. We have struggled with Southern a lot in recent years.

Cornish looked frustrated to me the past few games, good to see him have a strong game. Sehic, if he stays out of foul trouble is as steady as they come. Still can't believe he's here, he could have gone anywhere he wanted to. As good a shooter as Dylan, as good (if not better) from the free throw line, better defensively, not the passer or assist guy that Dylan was.

Solid game. Fun with a digitized Sponge Bob Square Pants leading the cheers. Ona Embo's ballhandling continues to be well somewhat casual. I bet we keep seeing more of Slater assuming he elevates his defense.
