And it's reported during the game that Scott Frost has accepted the job at Nebraska.
Victory is never permanent

I turned into a football championship and a basketball game broke out. Congrats to UCF. What a two year turnaround.
Re: UCF wins AAC Conference Championship in OT
It looked like UCF was going to run away with it but Memhis looked just as good.
UCF went from Fiesta Bowl win to 0-12 in two years and back to 12-0 two more years later. Talk about a roller coaster.
I guess we can expect them to be 0-12 in two yearsBaywave1 wrote: What a two year turnaround.

If true, well done by all the involved parties to keep it covered until the players were on the field and not able to see news or social media. They could play the game without distraction, and if it was a done deal, he could break it to them in the locker room afterwards. It would ruin the celebration, but it's better than doing it before the game.OGSB wrote:And it's reported during the game that Scott Frost has accepted the job at Nebraska.

It literally took one phone call to him. No need to interview him or anyone fly anywhere on a jet.PeteRasche wrote:If true, well done by all the involved parties to keep it covered until the players were on the field and not able to see news or social media. will be interesting to see if UCF can keep it up without Frost
Question 1 is "when does Tanner Lee transfer from Nebraska and ask for a 7th year?"

Pete, are you sure the team on the field didn't know about it? I bet there were 100+ folks on the UCF sideline with cell phones during the game and some of them must have been talking it up. Also don't you think the UM guys would hear about it and start talking trash to the UCF opponents to distract them during the game.PeteRasche wrote:If true, well done by all the involved parties to keep it covered until the players were on the field and not able to see news or social media. In short, I think Frost screwed the UCF pooch here but reporting next week will confirm or not if I'm right here.
