If there are no barriers to players transferring within the SEC, Ole Miss will get cleaned out. They will not be competitive for years.

Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch. What you don't factor in, lg, is when the NEXT school in the SEC gets put on similar probation and can't recruit the Ole Miss players either. Pick one, any one...

Perhaps someone with a better memory than me can recite the SEC schools that have been put on probation over the last 20 years. Let's see, 'Bama, Auburn, Tennessee and Miss St., come to mind, but I might be missing some. I believe this is Ole Miss' second time around...

BTW this doesn't mean the can transfer without sitting out. It just means they can transfer within the conference.

Is Ole Miss on any of Tulane's future schedules? If not, this is the time to get them on.

In Oxford 2021, New Orleans 2023. So we're not likely to face them while their scholarship reductions are ruining depth, but they may slip back into the dark ages anyway.

Wow. An SEC school that will play the Wave 1-for-1. BTW, for those of you are only acquainted with recent Tulane football, Ole Miss and Tulane have been playing football for longer than LSU and Tulane. Started the same year, 1893, but they played each other before TU & LSU hit the field as opponents.

Oh, and NO, I wasn't in attendance that day.
