Dick enberg wasn't quite reserved for a play-by-play guy in his day. He wasn't Gus Johnson thank God but he didn't underplay it like say, Pat Summerall. Enberg and those other great NBC broadcasters like Charlie Jones were the voices of Sunday afternoons at 3 p.m. from my childhood.
