tj, Thanks for the summary.

Realistically I don't think every player who visited and is unsigned still has offers (or even had them originally) at this point. I'm sure Tulane may make additional selected offer(s) to new prospect(s). Obviously as sr noted there are some nice prospects we are sure though that Tulane is still pursuing.

May it happen.

Very nice of you to put together this summary, TJ. Thanks much.

WF noted that he could get a couple more within the next couple of days and might even be at 100% by the time this early signing period is done. We'll see.

Bay, I agree that several of these guys probably do not carry offers at this time. Listening to Coach Fritz yesterday, we could fill up by Friday. You know he wants this done and these recruits know slots are filling up. I wonder what % of kids signed yesterday nation wide.

It appears we will sign three more. I think one will be a QB, one will be a LB, and the final one will be a wild card. This also brings up the question about a kicker. Can we afford to go into next season with our current hand?

We need one/two LBs-one ILB and one OLB. Nobody is talking about Malbrough--what's up with that? He looks to be a good OLB candidate--a disrupter on the defensive side of the ball. Anyone know what is going on with him?

Also, never turn away a QB, if the right one comes along.

Ryan Malbrough from Cecilia is a 6’1 190 S & LB that most people don’t realize that he is the 100 & 200 meter champion in 4A times of 10.71 & 21.41 in 200. I heard he’s in for a visit today or tomorrow

According to the radio this morning (so take it for what it's worth) around 80% of the "top" level prospects signed.

I just posted his message in the recruiting thread, but Travon King decommitted from Rutgers. Do you know if he's projected more LB or DE?

I think OLB. I hope he signs now. Re-opening his recruitment could be a dog fight.

Mr. Smith mentioned on twitter last night that the wave was about to make a big splash. The clock is ticking. I presume kids can sign until midnight. We will see!

I agree about signing now. I don't like our chances as much if he starts getting calls from "bigger" programs. I am pretty sure the signing period is 72 hours so midnight would be the cutoff.

It looks like the beginning of school will be the next big recruiting date on the calendar.

Travon King already has visit dates set for Temple and Baylor. Temple is the perceived leader given the proximity to King’s home.

JuQuon Griffin continues to be recruited hard by CWF.

Ryan Malbrough has committed to Kansas. I wish we could offer the ex-Warren Easton coach. He is a helluva recruiter.

D’Andre Ragin, a 6-3 220lb outside LB from St. Thomas Aquinas in Opa Locka, FL appears to have some interest in the Wave. He currently holds offers from Michigan St, Rutgers, Kentucky, Purdue, UCF, USF, Memphis, Miss State, Oregon, Oregon St, Cincy, USM, Syracuse, and Indiana. Would be a great get at a position of need. We signed his teammate, OL Jason Swann, in the early period.

Tulane did recruit and offer Jamarr Chase. He wasn't having any. This is weak even for the author of this post.

Based on postings made yesterday, is today the drop dead date for JUCO’s to sign this semester?

If Willis and Smith believe the hype they will go to Boise, the team that many “experts” have predicted will be the G5 rep in a NY6 bowl next season.

It seems they are both leaning that way. Given our current QB situation, it may be very difficult to land a TE the caliber of Willis and Lewis. We are taking some hits right now with the defections and losing Lindsey. Maybe we wait until next year to add additional players.

When did we lose Lindsey? I have not read anything.
