AAC Women's Tourney...

Unread post by GSx »

Tulane (9) v. Memphis (8). Both teams are 5-11.

And Tulane is drawn like a magnet to U Conn, as the winner faces the Huskies.

The performance that earned us an 8/9 seed each year, I'd say.

Dude, it is perfectly acceptable to at least include a score. And a couple of impressions would be great, too. Remember, you're delivering information, not merely showing that you know the status.

At least it wasn't just a blind link. Give him credit for that

The team played its 2 best games since early January in this tournament. The question is why did they tank during most of the conference season?
Time for some changes?

Down 52-22 at half to UConn, but UConn had two key players go down with injuries and we actually outscored them 34-30 in the second half. Wave finishes the year at 14-17.

Well, with Morgan graduating there will be some changes, but don't think we'll like them...

Yeah but Cincinnati just scored 6 in the third quarter!

I couldn't believe that halftime score. Holding a reasonably good conference opponent to 5 points in a half of a conference tournament semi-final is just unreal. It's hard for UConn women's to impress me at this point, but that kind of performance will do it.

I saw UC play against us and they were pretty good. Obviously they had everything clicking that day (witness the score against us but how they finished the year), but I was impressed by their team speed and their offensive game plan. That said, the halftime score blows me away even more.

Of course, I just remembered that UC is coached by a former UConn player and it's very likely they are doing exactly what UConn does, only with lesser athletes. So therefore Geno knows exactly how to counter everything in their game plan.

I'm pretty sure Geno knows how to counter everything in nearly everyone's game plan. Step one: have all your players be vastly taller, faster, and more skilled....

And during our conference snooze-fest, we lost by 30, 30 to this NIT Cincy team.
Shakeup needed.
