I had forgot about Thomas too. The more the merrier. It's great that two of them are here now for spring practice. We clearly needed help there and it looks like we could get help from this group sooner than later. We all know it starts up front on both sides of the ball so this is huge.

It’s refreshing to have a staff that identifies the areas of need and address them right away.

He also commented on Ledford when talking about QB's. So he is back there. That is news right?

Hmm, I'd like to feel a little better about our QB situation before I went that far...

I'd like to think that we can get Ryan Boyle from Iowa, after spending a Quixotic quest for he-who-shall-not-be-named and getting the shaft. On paper at least, Boyle is a mobile QB with two years remaining and who can play immediately. He fills the bill, but I've seen nothing about where he will transfer nor heard nothing about Tulane recruiting him. I can't help but think that with Banks being the obvious starter, it is making guys like Boyle having second thoughts about coming here. But I'm with ml wave here, I'd feel better if the staff has a fallback if Banks gets hurt and it's a more "mature" option than what we currently have. Then again, Daniels or Ledford could be the second coming of Roch Hontas.

It is, indeed. Thank you for the clarification.

Please let us have stories on the official site like this, and no smaller than this, after every practice.

Plays come down to inches and things like that.
Aw, c'mon, when does anything important in football ever come down to an inch? :xmad: :( 8)

Thanks for the link to the nice article. The things that jumped out at me:
- currently have Teamer at a new position. In 2017 he played SS. Moving to Kuerschen's FS spot?
- Jeffrey Johnson has lost 20 lbs since start of semester (at signing party we heard some pretty big weight numbers), can move, is physically mature, and can play 8-9 downs in a row and still compete.
- Looks like WF will not let them forget the diff between bowl games/winning records and the alternative is sometimes 1".

Will be interesting to see these guys at the Spring game in a few weeks.

I thought of you when I realized that was the case. I know you've wanted more info. on that site at these times like we used to get. I did too. Glad to see it's back. May it continue throughout the rest of the practices.

lg, thanks for the link. We're starved for news here these days the two local news outlets rarely have anything and the guys that used to go to the practices and report what they saw (like Menace) don't seem to do that anymore.

If Johnson is really under 320 it will be interesting to see on the 14th. As Numbas mentioned, the coaches said he weighed 337 when he got here after topping out at 360 last summer.

As for the secondary, I have thought for a while that they are clearing the decks to get this year’s freshmen on the field, hopefully not as starters.

Does anyone know how many total schoolies we will have given out when all report in August? Will we be at the 85 limit?
