sr I thought he might turn out to be pretty good when GA Tech made that last big run at him.

If the current forecast is right there’s almost no way the “spring game” goes off as scheduled. Needs to be mentioned.

Tulane football running backs making an impact this spring

its all great! :-D

http://www.nola.com/tulane/index.ssf/20 ... ng_an.html

"We've got some good backs," Fritz said. "I think that (Stephon) Huderson has had a great spring, Corey Dauphine has done some great things and (Darius) Bradwell has done some great things.............

sounds like we reloaded at RB with Bradwell being a wild card in that he could turn out to be scary good.

my only concern about 2018 is at cornerback... We are loaded in some spots and really solid in the rest... but CB play could be what makes or breaks this team.

I love the prospect of Bradwell taking direct snaps. Maybe a TD pass to Banks is in our future!

I'm as optimistic as anyone about our RBs, but I think it might make sense to wait at least until we start live drills before we anoint anyone.

I agree about the CB position but don't ever forget the O-Line.

Seems like we heard the same exact comments about our quarterbacks one Spring under CJ. Don't get me wrong, I never liked the CJ hire, and I liked the Fritz hire (and still do) from the first minute I heard about it.

I'm just pointing out the "coach speak" heard in the Spring from almost all coaches.

For the last few years, most of us spent Fall Sunday mornings trying to do just that...

Totally agree, JM. The opposition had so many wide open receivers last year WITH Nickerson, that it boggles the mind as to what might happen this season. Couple that with a FR-laden DL and potentially little pass rush, and it scares the hell out of me. I hope Coach McClesky can work some magic (or suit up himself).

I believe we will be seeing a lot of 48-45 games this year.

My concerns are DBs that don't wrap up, O line play, and special teams (and a tentative concern of too passive a play calling scheme).

LB, hope springs eternal. Spring is all about hope :-D

That said Dauphine was a 4 Star recruit out of high school who signed a P5 offer and Bradwel was recruited by a bunch of P5 Programs as a RB. So the talent and potential is there.

Also, after spending all Spring telling us how Chase Kuerschen was a step too slow to play Safety in the AAC so he was moved to LB, where is he now...............Safety

More accurately, Kuerschen is probably a special teamer and a backup safety from here on out. He’s no longer running with the 1s at any position.

A better Jonathan Banks? Crisper execution? Here are five things to watch for in Tulane's spring football game

http://www.theadvocate.com/new_orleans/ ... 2716b.html

pretty interesting article comparing where we are today to where we were after the first two Spring Practices. Bottom line: better execution as players get comfortable with what WF and Staff are doing.

I was going to make it on Saturday, weather permitting of course. And while it was smart to move it to Friday because of weather concerns, it means can't attend. Other commitment.

Sometimes I wish we cound do this during the regular season. Sadly we have to sit in the bad weather during the regular season or skip the game whenever the weather is not good. :(
