Possible 1-4 upsets to monitor: Army 5, NC State 0 at the stretch. Samford leads Florida State 3-1 T5 as well.

Army pulls off the upset! They get the likely number 1 draft pick throwing to them tomorrow for their troubles.

JP France gets bombed in that Oklahoma v. Miss State game; looks like he ends the year with a losing 4-5 record. He took the loss in the 20-run debacle as he was one of many Miss State bullpen arms shelled beyond recognition.

UConn will probably live another day, up 10-3 in the bottom of the 9th in the elimination game. USF is definitely flirting with disaster in their elimination against Hartford though.

I bured the lede a bit. Free Shoes had a guy cruising through a shutout (but over 120 pitches) before the 2.5 hour rain delay. Mike Martin sent him back out there. Pinpoint accuracy up to that point, 80+ strikes thrown.

Walk, walk, jack past the scoreboard on a particularly tasty 2 seamer. Martin said he wanted the ball, so he let him have it. To that, I would say you can go find that ball behind the LF fence. MSU player in postseason interview said he wouldn't have a fastball either.

Martin's contract is up. 99.9% chance they renew him, because it would be a poor look not to, but the natives haven't let that stop them before. They have money, and they are restless.

Even if he said he wanted the ball, its kinda the staff's job to tell him no. And if you aren't going to tell him no, at least have the sense to have someone ready after the two walks.

Houston loses in the 1-0 game to UNC. ECU's locked in a tight one late with South Carolina.

Oregon State is doing all sorts of wonderful glorious things to LSU. 10-0 through 4. kiss a beaver tonight.

so... if LSU fails to advance, what's the countdown for the corn dog faithful to start screaming they got scrod by the NCAA being sent to Corvallis? Immediately... or will they wait a few hours?

in Greenvegas today.. ECU facing elimination versus UNC Wilmington... without doing any research, I am going with the made up fact UNC Wilmington is 1-0 in elimination games versus the AAC (beating us twice in BR a couple of years ago)

UConn and UH will play later this evening (and possibly Monday). ECU's getting rained on and USF is having trouble with Okie State.

But more importantly NORTHWESTERN STATE HAS TAKEN THE LEAD.

Where’s the choke icon? NSU goes ahead 5-4 in the 8th, gives up 5 in the 9th to be eliminated.

Tiggers survive. Good luck finding 18 innings of quality pitching from the end of your bench, though. They merely delayed their flight.

at least the Tigers avoided the K. Garic/WWL 2 and Q...you know where you win the first one and then lose 2 in a row.

Man. I was SO ready to pounce on that. But now we get at least 1 more game of tiggers clutching their pearls very tightly over Heimlich as if they've never had any public black eyes over domestic misconduct in their sports programs. So there's that.

Washington wins the Conway Regional, thanks to a late UConn defensive meltdown.

The AAC will not win the national title. Or get to a super.

These teams have punched a ticket to the next round though:
Auburn (vs. Gainesville regional winner)
Texas Tech (vs. Athens winner)
Arkansas (will host Greenville winner)
Washington (@ the Stanford winner)
Vanderbilt (will host Tally winner)
STETSON @ UNC
Minnesota (vs. Corvallis winner)

Still some game 7s and even 6s to be played tomorrow. Oxford's trying to squeeze their game 5 in late tonight.
