curious what our out of conference foes are. AJ Lawson needs to know who he will be playing against.

Conference still considers us a doormat as Houston, UCF and Cincy seem to be experts picks as top 3 in the league. Bulletin board material.TU77CAL82 wrote:Tulane: Home Only: UCF, Houston

We did finish in the bottom four... but this pretty much shows that we should expect to be picked to finish in the bottom 4 again. I have to wonder whether Frazier's decision to leave had any effect on this (probably not, but... maybe?). Note that Wichita State, very close to being the top predicted team last year, graduated a ton and is not in the predicted top 4.NJwave wrote:Conference still considers us a doormat as Houston, UCF and Cincy seem to be experts picks as top 3 in the league. I looked and noticed last year that the league coaches' preseason predictions flipped UConn and SMU from the scheduler's predictions - we didn't play UConn twice, but the coaches picked SMU 4th and UConn 5th. Everyone kinda missed those predictions, eh? SMU finished in the bottom 4, UConn barely above them.
It should be explained here for those who may have forgotten (or never knew), the AAC now predicts the top 4 and bottom 4 and makes sure they don't match them up twice so as to avoid the RPI "drag" it would cause on the top 4 - a ploy to try to better the national impression of the AAC and possibly have more at-large bids.

Makes it easier for us since we only have to "upset" the top teams once each on our way to sweeping the conference.PeteRasche wrote: It should be explained here for those who may have forgotten (or never knew), the AAC now predicts the top 4 and bottom 4 and makes sure they don't match them up twice so as to avoid the RPI "drag" it would cause on the top 4 - a ploy to try to better the national impression of the AAC and possibly have more at-large bids.

We return the trip to South Alabama. Georgia State comes here. Florida State comes to Devlin. Sprinkle in a couple Southland games.randymc wrote:curious what our out of conference foes are. AJ Lawson needs to know who he will be playing against.
I'm not sure if we're going to be in a preseason tournament this season or not. I can't remember hearing anything about it.

The need to get another good like Fla State series going; should have at least 2 every year.TulaneTiger wrote:We return the trip to South Alabama. Georgia State comes here.
