TU Debuts New, Outdoor Classroom
“We will expect success in all endeavors and be prepared to assess and hold ourselves accountable when we aren't successful. Tulane is a top 40 academic institution and it should expect nothing less from its athletic department.” --Troy Dannen 11.5.16

Yeah. My comment back to them was where's the outdoor fire pit and 72" 4g TV

Seriously I could have had a low wall, a high wall with a blackboard and some tables installed foe probably 30K

As Pete may recall, Dean Goodwin was doing this quite often 25 years ago, and it didn't cost him a penny. The grass was quite comfortable to lay out on and discuss ethics.

I recall sitting under a tree a couple of times in English 101 (mandatory for Engineers) but not much else. It would have been hard to do an Engineering class outside, unless you carved diagrams and equations into a tree trunk.doncecco wrote:As Pete may recall, Dean Goodwin was doing this quite often 25 years ago, and it didn't cost him a penny.
