My daughter is a Freshman at Central Florida; her grades and ACT scores earned her a waiver that lets us pay in-state tuition (making it much less expensive than U. of Tennessee).
She chose not to apply to Tulane because she looked at the price, told me that as much as she loves New Orleans, Tulane was too expensive. There was no way we could get any forms of tuition waivers, and while her numbers were good, were not good enough for schollies.
Sad when an student who is a legacy several times over has to say no to Tulane because she doesn't want to saddle Dad with major costs.
