Defense has 30 sacks through 10 games

Per Tulane Football Twitter.

Compared to 14 all of last season. Our young D line was a concern but has played very well. And while some of our sacks are from LB and DB blitzes, the D Line still has to do its job of occupying blocks to get guys free.

This was slipped into a baywave post on another thread but it bears repeating. We have held our opponent to 20pts or less the past 3 games.

Defense has really improved through the season and the d-line has been outstanding, even while banged up.

No doubt about it. Our DE’s collectively as a group are as good for I’ve seen as speed rushers. And they are very young.
