I take no pride in not having tried them. Heck, I watched the movies (heck I even have taught the Cuaron one), so it certainly isn't any feeling of being "above" them. I've heard they are good reads. My surprise isn't than an adult WOULD read them, it's that we live in a society where its ASSUMED an adult WOULD read them.

Which is what makes them good kid fare, and worthy of being emulated
What makes them worthy is they are accessible to children and adults

I would have assumed if he had read it, it was the Aramaic version.

Where is the team staying? Do they get to go to the wizarding world of Harry Potter too?

Which is dirt cheap. The pool bar that's underground makes stiff drinks. The lazy river is a rip off you have to pay for the tubes. Since you're on resort you can get into Hogwarts early, just sayin'
Do they provide quidditch broomsticks for us seasoned citizens looking for more activity between bowl events?

I've never read a line of those books either

Add to that, nor ever have read or seen: Game of Thrones; Hunger Games; no Star Wars after that stupid Ewok one; Law & Order.

I’ll get off my own lawn.

Margaritaville has a fairly good fish and chips, British-style; they also do a reasonable Jambalaya for being outside NOLA (was there in October, fun place to go and watch people). The airplane by the outside bar is the real one mentioned in his song "Jamaica Mistaka")

Yes that one. The chocolate bread is really good and they had a cool unique apertif list. I went post failure so I'm good

Anyone know where to find the details regarding the tailgate? I've looked with no success. What do we get for the $50?

LOL! That's what I want to confirm (the latter, mostly). Debating about bringing a throw away styrofoam ice chest, but if there's beer and booze, I'm not going through the trouble.

Every Tulane tailgate has open bar, hence the high price.

Sprout—The child’s price goes to 20. That’s got to be because the difference between alcohol versus non. Otherwise it’d be 16 or 18

Okay, I was just trying to stir debate about whether it's too costly or if it's feasible to just sneak in. No one bit though, and I actually got answers to my questions with only one slightly smart @ss remark from Wave Prof. I do appreciate the responses.

I'm going assuming I get there in time. Can't leave until late Friday evening and plan on driving as far as I can so I can get up, finish the drive and hopefully make the pregame festivities. We should be fine and hope to see every one there, even if you sneak in without paying.

First time I met Sprout was at the Army tailgate and subsequent flight home in ‘07(ish).

So would someone tell me how to sign up for the Tulane Tailgating?

I haven’t found a link or phone number.

Thank you.
