I take no pride in not having tried them. Heck, I watched the movies (heck I even have taught the Cuaron one), so it certainly isn't any feeling of being "above" them. I've heard they are good reads. My surprise isn't than an adult WOULD read them, it's that we live in a society where its ASSUMED an adult WOULD read them.GretnaGrn wrote: it makes no sense to me why people would be proud not to have at least tried something. What makes them worthy is they are accessible to children and adultsWaveProf wrote:Which is what makes them good kid fare, and worthy of being emulatedPeteRasche wrote: Swy what you want about them being aimed at kids, most of them are over 600 pages, the fifth one being (per Google) 766. Add to that, nor ever have read or seen: Game of Thrones; Hunger Games; no Star Wars after that stupid Ewok one; Law & Order.
I’ll get off my own lawn.

Anyone know where to find the details regarding the tailgate? I've looked with no success. What do we get for the $50?

LOL! That's what I want to confirm (the latter, mostly). Debating about bringing a throw away styrofoam ice chest, but if there's beer and booze, I'm not going through the trouble.WaveProf wrote:Food and alcohol.sprout1550 wrote:Anyone know where to find the details regarding the tailgate? Sprout—The child’s price goes to 20. That’s got to be because the difference between alcohol versus non. Otherwise it’d be 16 or 18

Re: Tulane Bowl Events and Fan Hotel
Okay, I was just trying to stir debate about whether it's too costly or if it's feasible to just sneak in. No one bit though, and I actually got answers to my questions with only one slightly smart @ss remark from Wave Prof. I do appreciate the responses.
I'm going assuming I get there in time. Can't leave until late Friday evening and plan on driving as far as I can so I can get up, finish the drive and hopefully make the pregame festivities. We should be fine and hope to see every one there, even if you sneak in without paying.
