If you go back to Fritz’s press conference yesterday the one position he really highlighted was big receivers. It’s why I pointed it out. We had big guys in this weekend. King is a big guy (we’ll see if his commitment becomes more formal now; may not be directly related to him). After we got “the fastest man in Nola” (Kiland from ms who also visited this week) it was pretty clear we weren’t taking that many guys who fit the small/fast profile. It’s no coincidence they both decommited today after what coach said he was looking for yesterday. Wish them the best moving forward and as we saw last year anyone we lost we replaced with much higher rated guys. Expect that trend to continue.

So this is a she said, he said, he said explanation that must be taken with a grain of salt.
After the OC change, supposedly, Tulane informed Dante that they wanted him exclusively for defense back. This caused him and family to re-eval their situation and re-open his recruiting.

As someone who watched all of Navarre's games this year, I can say that Dante's role in their offense "morphed" in the later part of the season, for whatever reason, I have no idea. IMHO, not using Dante more cost them the game vs Crestview in the Regional Finals. btw, Crestview has a set of twins playing WR (Voisin) who I believe are very talented and have offers from App St./USA/Troy.

Back to Dante, if someone wants to run a jet sweep effectively, then Dante will accomplish this better than most anyone. He says that he wants to be a doctor and academics is high priority. Wherever he ends up, if he ever asks, I would say to redshirt, take a slightly reduced class load, become a gym rat, adjust to college life and use the 5 years to build a nice GPA and have a 4 year career after your body fully develops. But, he hasn't asked and he probably never will. I was hoping to see him and teammate Jordan Jefferson in green/blue but that doesn't look like it's happening.

Does anyone have any information about who is visiting this weekend? 247 has WR Tyrek Presly visiting and Rivals has DT Eric Hicks and OL Nate Clifton visiting. Is there any other information out there?

Not specifically good news, but certainly a good vibe. How often does Tulane Football Recruiting have a Second Line walking through the Quarter?? This is definitely cool.

Tyjae Spears visited this weekend so he’s still on the res. Here are his highlights below. His team had a bad year but he had 920 yards rushing and 8 td’s (6.4 pc) and caught 48 passes for 920 yards and another ten touchdowns.

Hank Tierney is a good coach and has sent Tulane many of his players over the years.

Great news. We needed at least one mature OL to build the 2019 line.
