we have momentum and are a program on the upswing. Willie can sell that a few players this year made a huge difference and RBs are featured in our offense. hope he makes a good decision and stats with us!

He might want to ask Dauphine how that worked out for him.

Didn’t realize I had to explain this. Dauphine originally signed with Kansas State. The same school that is making a late push on Spears. Didn’t work out very well for him and he’s prospered at Tulane. Spears May want to think about that.

i don't see K State on here.

whatever the case, GB probably could stand to enlighten us with the background of his comments so that we can be as informed as he is

Guys, it’s the morning after a landmark milestone for Tulane football.

Can we at least leave the Snark-o-Meter pegged on zero for a full 24 hours?

Spears is a big recruit and Coach Fritz has a lot to sell after this season. I say we hold on to him.

Gerry you’re right. But the point remains before you fall for what some of the P5 are telling you make sure they know how best use you, have the room and a system that can showcase your talents. Or you’ll find yourself like Dauphine did. All clear now? :-D

One big difference, Banks got his shot. From what I saw, I don't think that happens at K-State. Dauphine is all together different. He has great talent, but there seem to be something holding him back. He has one year left to showcase his tremendous ability - I hope he takes advantage of it.

K-State offers Spears. Can we hold off one of these schools?

Looks like we have lost so momentum by having to play on the final weekend of recruiting. Bowl games should be played on that weekend. Seem like a very unfair advantage.

With the way Tulane runs the ball and spreads it around to four backs, he'd be crazy to go elsewhere.

Respectfully disagree. I like the visibility it gives us. With these guys they've already had visits and committed. This is what happens when the bigger schools shift their focus to "our" level guys. It's just going to happen. Honestly, having the bowl win right before I would think would only help.

Hemlock on special at Costco this week?

Will you panicky idiots take a breath and realize we are "losing" kids to Big12, ACC and SEC teams verbally. A) Who knows if that means they are actaully going there, no one does until signing day and B) NOT TOO LONG AGO WE WERE LOSING KIDS TO CUSA SUNBELT AND FCS TEAMS BECAUSE WE SUCKED.

K State Is a bottom level big 12 program in the middle of nowhere. We need to fend players off from them. If we don’t we don’t it’s not the end of the world - you can lose a player to anybody.
For the same reason I wasn’t terribly impressed with the a 1/2 schedulimg arrangement with Kansas State

He knows exactly how he fits in at Tulane and he knows everyone there. For that reason I think it very possible that KSU pushed him to hold off and wait. Switching now would be very unsound and I’d say that if a longtime KSU commit were being wooed very late by Alabama.
