Rate comparison of major pay networks. None of the others are even half of ESPN.

the MSOs have no problem paying that enormous fee for ESPN.. or else it wouldn't be so enormous.
when you look at ratings, ESPN actually runs enough highly rated events throughout the year to garner a higher rate, ratings that are on par with the four broadcast networks (which provide the highest ratings for any MSO, which is why you always get the public battles between local TV groups and the MSOs when contracts are expiring).

Big Ten sucks (curious what SECN is)
World Fishing Network is a bargain. I can watch people catch fish all day for 14 cents
VH1 is still around? Does anyone still watch VH1?
Surprised MLB Network more than NFLN.
I think ESPN losing it's grip quickly, thus the massive exodus in Bristol the past few years.

MLB net has a lot more live games (at least 3 nights per week, maybe more) than NFL Network and they aren't simulcast on a national network like the NFLN gamesdoncecco wrote:Surprised MLB Network more than NFLN..

MLB covers its subject matter better than any network on TV. Makes baseball seem exciting. Plus, the personalities are funny as hell on that network. Millar, Smoltz, Casey, DeRosa, et al are really entertaining. Plus, MLB hasn't turned as political as the NFL has, although NFLN doesn't really play on it.
Plan your work, work your plan.

TCM - comes in at an affordable $0.44 although I'd like to see it drop and show a few more from the film noire archives.
