2 years of eligibility. That's a score. Not a frontliner @ UVa but started a couple of games there. He will expand the rotation here if nothing else.

(I was about to post this on the main board (where it should be) but checked here first). According to FTW he started 9 games this year. Nice pick up.

I don't think that's right. He has played & started.

Nice pickup. This guy is huge.
We had one other visitor this weekend. A DL from Mississippi. We are building the trenches on both sides. I like it.

TOO LATE FOR SPRING PRACTICE ?
Re: Grad Transfer OL from UVA
Too late but I don't think it matters. He has to graduate from UVA first and that presumably is this spring if he is to be eligible at Tulane in the fall.G-wave wrote:TOO LATE FOR SPRING PRACTICE ?
Re: Grad Transfer OL from UVA
He started two games his redshirt freshman year. Played on ST's this year. He'll add some depth.
We deserve so much better
Re: Grad Transfer OL from UVA
He's tall. His dad (I believe his dad) mentioned on twitter that he was born in Slidell. He had offers from Purdue, Iowa, Illinois and Indiana out of HS, as well as UVA obviously to go along with some MAC schools. The 247 prediction was 100% Purdue even though he went to UVA. He was a 3-star recruit.
Re: Grad Transfer OL from UVA
Excellent late add. No such thing as too many experienced offensive linemen.

Be interested to hear why he chose us over Purdue and the others. Better chance to play immediately or something else?

No, why he is leaving UVA to come to Tulane, choosing us among other institutional options, including, but not limited to, remaining at UVA, all schools that recruited him out of high school, all other FBS institutions, FCS, D-III, the NFL, the CFL, the Europe leagues of American football or quitting the sport all together.

Re: Grad Transfer OL from UVA
His announcement says he's getting his MBA at Tulane. Given his choice of UVa for undergrad, I would assume the academic side appeals to him and the b-school has something he wants that UVa doesn't. Just a guess on my part, though.Rotorooter wrote:*SIGH*windywave wrote:Why he went to UVA?Rotorooter wrote:Yes, my bad. Still would like to know why.FW wrote:Yes, sorry, those were his HS offers

Nope. Just because it is him, just because it is now, just because I am curious.windywave wrote:Do you ask that about every athlete?Rotorooter wrote:*SIGH*windywave wrote:Why he went to UVA?Rotorooter wrote:Yes, my bad. Still would like to know why.FW wrote:Yes, sorry, those were his HS offers

Is there a problem?

Well, as compared to UVa's....MattK wrote:The b-school offers football playing time?GretnaGrn wrote:His announcement says he's getting his MBA at Tulane. Re: Grad Transfer OL from UVA
I thought the graduate program had to be one that wasn't offered at your original school

I'm pretty sure there are ways to get around thatgerryb323 wrote:I thought the graduate program had to be one that wasn't offered at your original school
Re: Grad Transfer OL from UVA
That would not make any sense for a person that has already graduated for a university.
Re: Grad Transfer OL from UVA
I'm sure our b school offers programs that uva's doesn't. The energy trading program, for one.gerryb323 wrote:I thought the graduate program had to be one that wasn't offered at your original school
