Lamar hit .247 over their weekend sweep of Long Island. Pitched a 2 ERA. Stomping a northern team doesn't necessarily tell us if their offense is better than last year's terrible showing (in a year where I don't need to remind you what unspeakable things teams did to us, they only scored 3 runs in those 2 games)

Their starter is Sr LHP Taylor Rich, who started one of the Tulane games last year. 7.88 ERA 16.0 IP in 2 starts and 11 appearances

Any reason given for Nieman at catcher? He was bad last year and has already caused a run with two passed balls.

It is interesting considering we could also use McKeithan to spell Owen, and already did so on the Saturday game, but your guess is as good as mine

Ugh. I just got here. Confusion with time conversion. I though the game was at 7:30, Central.

Heaven forgive me, but this announcer irritates me with his constant use of the word "here" and his futurist reporting ("and it's gonna be a strike, here"). It's basically EVERY pitch!

Thanks. I remember the voice, and of course, the irritating affectations, but I can't keep the names straight.

The bottom of our order is definetly pressing tonight. Jensen has walked twice which is good to see but we need Kobi and Tigues to get going.

Bates has settled in very well after the rocky start.

The first inning pitches that advanced the runner...were they scored as wild pitches or passed balls?
