as AWD noted, I'm glad to see Coach Hunter and Staff arenn't sitting around but being strongly proactive.

Marco Anthony (UVA) | 6'4"
In the Mix:
Jonathan Laurent (UMass) } 6'6"
All with immediate eligibility.

Re: 3 hoops transfers heading to visit Tulane
Thomas is really interesting. Averaged 14.6 points per game, shot just under 40% from 3 with over 6 attempts per game and shot 82% from the line.
Anthony was a former 3 star recruit, but barely saw the floor for the national champs.
Laurent averaged 9.5 points per game and 5 rebounds per game playing 23 minutes per game. Shot 54% from the field and 86% from the line. Former 3 star recruit who was rated the 29th best small forward in the country coming out. Supposedly looking at Oklahoma State and Arkansas as well.

Just getting these players to consider us after the past year is a coup by Coach Hunter. I'd sure love us to get a couple of them. The pub we'd get for grabbing a transfer from the national champs, much less Kansas, would help immensely, even if the players were not super studs.

Re: 3 hoops transfers heading to visit Tulane
I don’t think he was one of the ones visiting. I really hope we get the kid from Norfolk State. He can shoot it, off the dribble or off a screen. He had nights where he just went off. 30 in conference quarterfinal. Leading scorer on team that beat Alabama in first round of NIT. Can’t think of a Tulane guy in recent memory he reminds me of. The guard from Southeastern that eats us up every year comes to mind (Vinson?). I think he would struggle to guard bigger, stronger guards in the AAC, but wouldn’t have to in the Hunter system.Yankeewave wrote:Sad
The kid from Virginia and Lawson would be great gets as well if it happens.

No news yet? Is that a good or bad news this late in the process? Were the scheduled to visit other schools over the weekend?
Any news on Daniels and Crabtree?

Lawson's brother (another, younger) is committed to bring a freshman at Oregon in the fall. Can't think that helps

Not saying it won't happen but that stories been kicking around for a while. I don't think we will know what will happen to Daniels until the end of May when those players considering the NBA draft commit to that process or return to school, at which point a whole lot of dominos will start falling.Shu40 wrote:eeek on daniels

Those rumors have been out there a while, they were discussed in the thread about him on the main forum.Shu40 wrote:eeek on daniels

We should keep this thread about who we might get rather than who we will lose...
Re: 3 hoops transfers heading to visit Tulane
It is already May 10, and we know about as much about who will be our roster next year as we did in the few days after we hired our new coach. The buzz is deafening.
