Bummer. Wish he would have stayed. Time to move on.

I'm disappointed that we won't see him play under Hunter but I can't hold anything against a player who leaves when the coach does.
Best of luck to him. Moving on...

Re: Caleb Daniels to 'No
If he has to go, it at least looks better to lose him to a truly top program with an elite coach.
It’ll be Year Three before Hunter has a team that somewhat resembles the one that preceded it. I find that exciting.

Good for Daniels. He at least is running to something rather than just away. Godspeed. This is Hunter's team now and the more of a fingerprint he has on it the better.

I get your point, but are we really concerned about looks after last year's dumpster fire?long green wrote:If he has to go, it at least looks better to lose him to a truly top program with an elite coach.

Very true. Hunter and staff will have a recruiting precipice staring at them for the next two years. It appears they handled the first period well. May it continue.long green wrote:If he has to go, it at least looks better to lose him to a truly top program with an elite coach.

Regardless we really will need a roster in hand to watch this team for the next three seasons.

The reception of this news has been decidedly mixed on the Villanova side

I’m sure Dunleavy had a hand it helping him get there. His son was a top assistant at Nova so he clearly has connections with that program.

Initial story mentioned the connection of St. Aug and Kerry Kittles too. No idea if KK actually was part of it or the writer just assumed.Bham Wave wrote:I’m sure Dunleavy had a hand it helping him get there. His son was a top assistant at Nova so he clearly has connections with that program.

That seems like much more of a reach than the Dunleavy connection.PeteRasche wrote:Initial story mentioned the connection of St. Aug and Kerry Kittles too. I'd have thought that but I have no idea what Kerry is doing these days. Is he involved in basketball locally in NOLA?ml wave wrote:That seems like much more of a reach than the Dunleavy connection.PeteRasche wrote:Initial story mentioned the connection of St. Aug and Kerry Kittles too. He was an assistant coach at Princeton. I don't think he still is.PeteRasche wrote:I'd have thought that but I have no idea what Kerry is doing these days. He appears to have been replaced before last season. No hint of what he does now.NJwave wrote:He was an assistant coach at Princeton.
