btw, Coach Izzio's younger brother was a standout performer, 3B/1B, who hit .332 with 10 HRs for Pearl River Community College as a frosh. The younger brother committed about two weeks ago to USM. His name is Austen Izzio.

Nothing. This is probably a volunteer role replacing Brian Harris

According to some Micah Owings was initially interested in this position but turned it down after learning about the Campbell situation.

I had heard that too, but it was coupled with the idea that Latham wanted to leave over it as well.

Maybe it was all a scheme to get TJ to resign! Boy did he call their bluff.

Boy does that sound like a conspiracy theory posted by an anonymous, angry person on the internet.

I’m not saying it’s true and it could totally be made up, but it does make sense that Latham would be very upset over this. If he’s not going to be allowed to bring in the talent necessary to win, then leaving would make sense. Of course by the time this Campbell stuff happened, almost all the coaching jobs around the country were already filled.

Maybe with the Campbell kid gone now, his scholarship money could now go to the new coach's brother. We could use a 3rd baseman who can hit! :-)

Lets steal him form USM!

This entire thread and comments are really just crazy time. Are we talking about Tulane Baseball here? Oy, what’s become of our great little club.
