If it’s not for the 2020 season, it doesn’t mean much.

Per Guerry, it's Jesuit Lefty Brian Valigosky.

Class of 2020. I’m not finding much info about him, anyone familiar with him?

Looks like a pretty good lefty at first base.

Pitcher 85-86 mph. Could be up to 90 in next year or two as he gets stronger. Nice get but not a highly rated recruit.

102 Ks in 23.2 IP? Not bad!

He's not a "big time" recruit, but these are the type of kids we need to keep getting. These are the guys who fill in gaps in your roster and add value where you really need it. The teams I was on were filled with guys who had similar characteristics and weren't on baseball scholarship but they contributed. If he's coming on a legislative, this is a great get because it's someone with a projectable lefty arm that won't cost you any baseball money. If he can develop into a 30 inning a year guy, that's great value. If he can somehow start sitting high 80s/low 90s with a breaking ball and a changeup, maybe you have a starter on your hands. Not a game changer but potentially a productive member of the staff.

You’re right, of course, but we could also list the guys on your teams that we’re currently lacking

There’s a lot of things we need, this is way down the list.

Solid kid, I’ve known his family a long time. Still 2 years away, so it will be a while before we see him in a Tulane uniform.

The thing that stands out is 10 JUCO transfers. Clearly, he knows he has to win now. A few of the guys have very impressive numbers. There are some with walks to innings pitched that are really bad. Given the track record of our pitching staff it is difficult to believe those numbers will improve.

Not all that impressed by our "haul." There are 3 or 4 pitchers who appear to have the makings of something and Aviles is a player. IMO, it's going to be hard for Jewett to win enough to save his job.

I think we all kind of knew this
