Astros Hit With Death Penalty

Post by tjtlja »

Astros receive following for stealing signs -

1. GM Jeff Lunhow gets one year ban
2. Manager AJ Hinch gets one year ban
3. Lose 1st and 2nd round picks in 2020 & 2021
4. Brandon Taubman, front office guy, banned indefinitely

Astros owner fires Lunhow and Hinch.

Wow!

Hope MLB investigates everyone. Red Sox, Yankees, etc.

Terrible day for baseball.

Pete, we agree on something - Yeah. Lspuke gets away with anything. It is sickening and sucks.

I am a huge Astros fan, but cheating the way they did should be dealt with it like it was. Sad azz day.

Rough weekend - I am going to a movie tonight.

This is amazing. Baseball will keep trying to sweep it under the rug. They already tried once before the Red Sox stuff came out. It will take people actually talking, which we know they are loathe to do. Steroids, Juiced Ball, Sign-Stealing. What's next? Sweep it under there too.

Cora will get a 1 year ban but I doubt Boston fires him.. although if they did, it could work in their favor.

The past three managers hired in Boston won the World Series in their rookie seasons.. Terry Francona in 2004, John Farrell in 2013 and Cora in 2018

So now we know MLB thinks of the Astros as Cleveland State....

Cora will get at least 2 years, probably fired, and may get life.

Also , this is hardly a "death penalty"

Red Sox investigation is still open. The shoe, hammer and the rest of the tool box will drop on Cora in the coming weeks when the report comes out on that organization's digital sign stealing in the last season it won the World Series. Based on today's narrative, he may be doing Vegas card shows with Pete Rose for a few years.

I assume MLB can nix ESPN or FOX from hiring him if and when he is suspended over this.

If you recall, he in fact is a very good baseball TV analyst.

yes, the digital sign stealing shut the Dodgers hitting down and not David Price

biatch, please... and the Sox actually DIDN'T do it in the World Series because they couldn't.

Agree, but he's still getting crushed.

Because he's part of the active investigation into the Red Sox

looking back, I overreacted o Baywave's comment.. I thought he insinuated the Sox won the World Series because of sign stealing... he did not.

Same could be said of Dodgers hitting when it comes to Verlander, Morton, Keuchel, and McCullers.

Hope mlb pursues Arizona and Dodgers also. None of this sacrificial lamb bs. There is a lawyer in charge of mlb and send a message for all time.
