Pass was soft, in RB hands...college football player should have caught that. Then fall forward for first.BACONWAVE wrote: ↑Sat Sep 19, 2020 1:59 pmHe had to turn opposite direction in the rain... nice pass my azz.Marathon Wave wrote: ↑Sat Sep 19, 2020 1:59 pm Great play call, nice pass, but sure handed Jones drops it.

Re: Navy!
Yes exactly....we actually put 2 RB's on the field like I have been begging for & call the same damn run up the middle twice? Now movement...no sweep.. no quick pass.. just horribletulaneoutlaw wrote: ↑Sat Sep 19, 2020 2:01 pm Howard is extremely limited. I know it's raining hard, but I just don't see him being the difference everyone was so high on. This looks just likes his USM stats. They know we are locked into run run pass right now and it makes their defense look like the steel curtain

The pass was fine. He should have realized that the defender was right on his upfield shoulder, and a back-shoulder pass would have to be coming.BACONWAVE wrote: ↑Sat Sep 19, 2020 1:59 pmHe had to turn opposite direction in the rain... nice pass my azz.Marathon Wave wrote: ↑Sat Sep 19, 2020 1:59 pm Great play call, nice pass, but sure handed Jones drops it.

It wasn't in front of him so he could run.. he had to turn around & backpeddle dude... Like seriously.Marathon Wave wrote: ↑Sat Sep 19, 2020 2:02 pmPass was soft, in RB hands...college football player should have caught that. I should have known back in 1974. Regional TV back when that meant something. Not much has changed.krewe of ham and eggs wrote: ↑Sat Sep 19, 2020 2:02 pm Nothing like sh!tting your pants on national tv

If 36 would have known that those two things next to his shoulders are "arms" and used them to wrap up - instead of just leaning on the runner with his shoulder (when he was stacked up) - it would have been 4th down.

Re: Navy!
Another thing... why the hell we throwing to a back out the backfield anyway.. do we not have a WR that can catch a slant? Or can Howard not throw one?BACONWAVE wrote: ↑Sat Sep 19, 2020 2:03 pmIt wasn't in front of him so he could run.. he had to turn around & backpeddle dude... At end of half, when I said for us to get 24 more in 2nd half, I meant points, not yards.

So far Howard's bounced them or receiver dropped them.BACONWAVE wrote: ↑Sat Sep 19, 2020 2:04 pmAnother thing... why the hell we throwing to a back out the backfield anyway.. do we not have a WR that can catch a slant? This is it. Between the bad throws, he throws one that hits the receiver’s hands for a drop.Marathon Wave wrote: ↑Sat Sep 19, 2020 2:08 pmSo far Howard's bounced them or receiver dropped them.BACONWAVE wrote: ↑Sat Sep 19, 2020 2:04 pmAnother thing... why the hell we throwing to a back out the backfield anyway.. do we not have a WR that can catch a slant? That Navy coach really rubs me the wrong way.

Technically the drops have come from the TE (80) and rb11)Marathon Wave wrote: ↑Sat Sep 19, 2020 2:08 pmSo far Howard's bounced them or receiver dropped them.BACONWAVE wrote: ↑Sat Sep 19, 2020 2:04 pmAnother thing... why the hell we throwing to a back out the backfield anyway.. do we not have a WR that can catch a slant?
