For the first three years. That's my personal rule.

Please refer to my previous Price comments (chill Dave I'm within the Rules spirit or otherwise) to understand my position as of tonight.

When Price was OC I wanted him fired midseason after I got fed up with the play calling

I'm not going to call for the same fate for Dougie, because that would be against the rules

Exactly. I'm just reminiscing about when Price needed to go because his play calling made me want to pull out my thick luxurious hair.

Alternatively the staff doesn't trust Banks which is almost worse (although after yesterday if Banks is still our best option I'm just going to wait for basketball season).

Alright, not sure what Mary Poppins has to do with this though.

Had the discussion leaving the game yesterday that there were bad play calls at times, mostly in reference to running inside vs outside. One consideration was that the play calls may very well include the option for either, but Banks’ inability to timely recognize the correct read causes the play call to look bad.

A QB that understands RPO principles and can make correct reads timely would make the offense much more productive. By halftime next week we may be able to see how well McMillan can do with that.

And an OL that could get a push on an empty paper bag would be a big help.

There was at least one play late in the game where he CLEARLY had the option to hand off left (inside the tackles) or keep and run a traditional looking option arch with a RB to the right. He had tons of open space to the right, but handed off to the left. I think we got 2 yards on the play.

Maybe change the rule to the first two years.

My feeling about Banks is that he probably got along in HS by using his legs and doing it himself. Which worked fine at that level. Ever since he has been @ TU I've thought that he has gone back to that because it always worked for him before. He hasn't been able to adjust his game to fit the elevated talent level in college. There are more better players on both sides of the ball, but he hasn't learned to trust the players on his side enough, so he goes back to what worked before. But that doesn't work any more.

Fan since '54

Technically I'm pissed at about the 2.15 mark

Weird, it's almost like there's some sort of curse hanging over him this year...
