I think this is new; 10 minutes ago on Twitter Nataurean Watts, 6-1 WR, said he committed to Tulane. He had 16 catches for a little under 300 yds and 3 TDs last season at JCJC. also blocked at least one punt. And Coach Will Hall seems to confirm it with a Tweet of "Roll Wave" out of the "Sip."

Tulane also lands Natorian Watts, 6-3 WR, from Jones County as well. double whammy tonight. And former JC teammate Nick Anderson (now at LB with Tulane) welcomes both the guys with a Tweet to confirm. and Coach Hall updates with a Roll Wave X 2 out of the Sip.

Both were HS teammates of Stephon Huderson, I believe.

right you are...at Petal HS; here is a story back from their high school days about the Watts twins, born 8 minutes apart.

Same name, different spelling: Twin brothers from Mississippi make Tulane football commitments

“They’re both just really great athletes,” Petal offensive coordinator Lanny Beach said in story published by the Hattiesburg American. “And the good thing about them is that they’re different kinds of receivers. Nataurean is hard to tackle. He’s quick and elusive. While Natorian is a very, very tall receiver that can go up and get it and high point the ball. They complement each other really well.”

I don’t think we have to worry about WR depth.

Seriously! At least one of them will need a nickname. I mean, the jersey would even be the same for three letters of their first name. "Nata. Watts" and "Nato. Watts"? Maybe one is Nat and one is Tori or Taure?

As long as they don't wear the same number, we should be OK.

When Tulane signs twins it usually happens that one hits and one doesn't (Wayne and Dewayne Smith, Kenan and Kern Blackmon). Maybe that will bail Graff out.

Washington twins seemed to both do ok.

Ah, missed that! We've got a whole year to figure out naming conventions!

What kind of players are we getting? Who recruited these guys?

We probably have a bunch of guys visiting the next three weekends. I know a lot of schools around the country have some big weekends coming up. I think a dead period is coming soon.

From the high school article above:

Quote:
Because of the similarities in their names, the brothers are often called by their nicknames: Phats and Dos. Nataurean picked up the Phats nickname because he was chubby as a baby. Natorian was nicknamed Dos because when he played peewee football he wore number 2.

Looks like they have some speed. Not sure which one if not both have 4.4 speed. Nice.

Natorian has offers from USM & S.Alabama. Nataurean has offers from USA, ULM, and Liberty.

Natorian has Lib and ULM offers as well.

It's confusing because I didn't know these guys were twins until a few weeks ago but their named have been circulating about Tulane since the 2020 cycle started in earnest.

Dos Watts is a great football name.

That Twitter handle says "Phat" so that would presumably be the other one...
