Would have been curious to see where SMU would have been had they beaten Memphis. Purely curious though, as there's no way they'd have gotten remotely close to the top four.

That and 5 cents buys you... nothing. The Ohio State blowout is enough to keep them miles away from the top ten.

Really, at this stage the important thing is that two AAC teams are ahead of Boise State....

That's nice, but they still have to play AAC teams to finish the regular season.

Matt Moscona ripping on G5 as “poo-poo”. Says he not only wouldn’t give a G5 team a bid in a 8 team playoff, we wouldn’t do it in a 16 team either. If we lent to 32 then “maybe, maybe I’d consider one as a 30 or 31 seed”

He then went through Cimcy and Menphis’s schedule and declared “what a joke, do you know how many P5 schools would have an undefeated record with that schedule?”

Then he re-attached his CPAP and continued breathing.
The gap between the top of the big leagues and their bottom is now bigger than the gap between their bottom and us - P.R. told me to do this

Who is Matt Moscona and why should anyone value his opinion? Wait, lemme guess... He's a guy with a talking head show that only gets viewers (or listeners or whatever he does) by throwing out controversial takes to get people talking.

(I honestly have never heard his name and I'm not gonna Google it but I suspect my guess is right)

He's an LSU grad/homer who has a sports talk show in Baton Rouge that is aired in New Orleans. Sadly, the state of WWL/1280 drive time sports talk is so bad that putting up with 75% LSU talk is worth the 25% relatively competent Saints talk.

Matt’s right, but so is Pete (his radio show is syndicated on TV across the southeast).

He’s the biggest LSU/Baton Rouge sports show guy

I know who he was because he was working at the reveille at the same time as both Larry Holder (saints beat reporter) and my wife.

Until now id of said he was an annoying LSU homer who was at least slightly more articulate than the average sports talking head. That’s low praise at best.

I’m not shocked he’s hard on G5. That is asinine but not newsworthy. But good gosh his take is especially bad/silly/extreme
