UCF comes to town

Post by NJwave »

1 1/2 point favorites. We are 4-0 against the spread in league play. Still getting no love from Vegas.

We have to shoot a little better than 5/24 in the second half.

An absolutely putrid half of basketball.

We cannot shoot tonight. And the officials are struggling.

Rather ugly so far. It’s not over til it’s over, this could be an exception.

Worst half of basketball in a long time. Terrible shot selection led to miss after miss.

35-17 but it doesn’t much matter.

Pete said there’d be games like this.

Get to the damn rim. They have no shot blocker. Step back 3s and fade away jumpers don’t cut it. Press the entire half and see if we can’t get some easy baskets and get back in it.

Really nice of the students and locals to show up. No energy in the building.

Like I said... Sports-watching hangover. Too many folks up late last night (many probably actually at the Dome*) and the Saints being out... Probably takes a beat to switch out of football mode.

* lots of Tulane alumni have nice jobs in town which provide free tickets to big events, many probably had tickets and obligation to go before the participants were known... And as much as it makes us vomit in our mouths there are plenty of Tulane grads, even former Tulane football players, who actively root for LSU (y'all know who I'm talking about if you ever had coffee in the old pocket park... said folks were posting pics from Trump's suite last night while fully bedecked in purple and gold)

How many bad shots can we take? Only Days has played well. This game screamed for man to man defense.

Just brutal. We didn’t show up on either end of the floor.
