Tulane hoops Coach Ron Hunter on CBS radio just now said these highlights:
year 1 was a success in changing culture
he has kept a home in Atlanta in addition to New Orleans, and his wife spends some time in Ga. with their new grandchild.
building trust: he needed in year 1 to bring in his own players
Says he was recruiting today -- via Zoom
when season ended abruptly Tulane was having their pre game meal before playing UCONN in AAC tourney that midday; and Dannen called with the news of conference tourney being cancelled; team was shocked. plane ride home was deadly quiet.
rest of interview was rehash of his earlier career, oft-told stories

That had to be terrible. As much as anyone hates to lose, it would have almost been better to have played your tournament a day or two earlier and lost and known you were done, and been able to process it. Having someone just tell you, "sorry, you're done" would be really tough, especially on the seniors.

And then, there's our baseball team. Disappointment all around. "This too shall pass," just not fast enough.

Did they ask if this virus was created by UConn just to avoid having their last AAC game be a loss to Tulane?

Due to the onslaught of the Covid-19 virus, UConn will remain in the AAC for one more year.
