I watched exactly one nw st game this year, the swac final against Texas a&m cc. I was really impressed by his coaching tactics in the second half as he nearly willed his team to an upset. The pressing and traps his guys executed were really well done.

Very bizarre. We're going to hire this guy, suspend him before he even starts and voluntarily harm our program for things he did elsewhere. If he's that good of a coach, he's just going to leave for a better job anyway.

Wade can paint this like a weed possession conviction before a state changed its law to allow it legally. He can simply say that he was ahead of his time “with strong a$$ offers” before NIL arrived.

Sure, all coaches get rehabbed eventually but Liberty didn't preemptively penalize itself for things Freeze did at Ole Miss. This is a new low.

Pitino was good at Iona. He seems to still have it.

For Brey, it's probably a nice paycheck job. USF will pay decent, though maybe not ACC levels, and in Florida he'll save a bunch on taxes. Tampa > South Bend for retirement purposes, too. I don't know if it will work either, but I think it's a better shot at a splash hire than Dunleavy was for us.

Actually not that weird. As soon as it was put out there they he had the job it was put out there by others that in fact an offer had not been made. Just typical of reporters in this day and age wanting to be the first.
