Well, 4-22 would have helped. Sad to say.

All of these guys with the exception of Groff would logging more time at Tulane had they stayed. The grass is not always greener on the other side.

But I’m sure Lee and Massey don’t mind sacrificing a little playing time for being on a good team instead

Visual, hate to tell you my friend that playing time is a 100 times more important than playing for a winner unless you are actually playing. My boys would tell you that right away. Too much time and effort is put in to be riding the pine when you know you should be playing. It is their competitive nature.

I have talked to so many players that my boys played with and they were absolutely miserable if they weren’t playing. There are some guys that accept their fate knowing that they aren’t good enough. But the players that know they can start will leave. That is the transfer portal in a nutshell.

I can tell you without hesitation that Lee, Massey, DeVito, and Siegel are dreading the positions they are in because they know how much they would be playing if they had stayed at Tulane. Obviously, Groff is overjoyed.

Lee has the same stats as my last post. He hasn't played this week.
Massey is 2-0 with a 3.60 ERA. He's thrown 15 innings.
Groff is hitting .338-3-26
DeVito is 0-0 with a 7.94 ERA (5 innings)
Siegel is 2-1 with a 5.16 ERA (22.2 innings, second most on the team).
