Two Jr. college pitchers in the Tulane fold for '24 season
Tulane has recently added two pitchers from JC ranks for next year--
Luc Fladda, LHP from Johnson County Community College, is 8-0 for his conference-leading club this year. ERA at 2.94 with 11 K's per game.
Also, McClennan JC's Trey Cehajic, RHP, who has a 2.11 ERA and avg's 12 K's per game for that highly ranked club.

Fladda plays in Kansas. Cehajic plays in Waco.

I think Fladda originally signed with Oklahoma.
And like Randy said, McLennan would likely beat us in a 3 game series because they have prospects.

I also saw several months ago of a commitment from Blaise Wilcneski at Wharton Junior College in Texas. He is a big kid and had nice K ratios. Unfortunately he's been injured since very early in the season. I don't know what his situation is.

Have to pray Coach Uhlman is bringing in a bunch of D1 pitchers.

Let's give him a year to build this team. He lost a lot.
MOVING ON UP!
The only thing even in this world is the number of hours in a day.
The difference between winning or losing is what you do with those hours.

Will Dylan Carmouche be returning next year?
Re: Two Jr. college pitchers in the Tulane fold for '24 season
Carmouche should return unless he is done with baseball. I guess he could transfer.
Following the waiver wire next week might be the most interesting thing that happened the entire season.

Unless Carmouche graduated, he cannot transfer again because he transfered once already from Miss State.
I know he had a rough season but I hope he's back.

Carmouche is a JR and I think he takes his shot at Pro baseball. As far as transfering we just had a DB on the football Team Transfer twice in 5 Months so I don't know what the rules are anymore.
Re: Two Jr. college pitchers in the Tulane fold for '24 season
Today, we walked 15, hit two batters, and threw a couple of wild pitches. It looked like 12 year olds playing. We have about 18 pitchers, and Castro is the only one that is trustworthy. We have so far to go. Cannot win without pitching. Coach has to sign as many as he can.

I sure do hope he makes it on campus next year.

If he's that good he goes in the MLB Draft.

That will be a chance TU has to take, if that is the case.
TU needs to start recruiting VERY GOOD (IMPACT) PLAYERS, and if the Major Leagues affect our roster, then we have to live with it. Hopefully the players will look at a TU education and the possibility of getting drafted higher if they play for TU for at least their Junior year.

The program has taken such a hit since the Jewett hire. It was such a desirable place to play and coach. Not so much anymore.
Re: Two Jr. college pitchers in the Tulane fold for '24 season
I feel a lot better about our baseball recruiting. I doubt he stays but if these two show up and Carmouche hangs around then it could be an interesting year. Regardless we need to keep the 2024 preseason AAC POY and All American Teo Tanks

Re: Two Jr. college pitchers in the Tulane fold for '24 season
Fladda's JC club got eliminated by Delgado in the JC World Series tourney; Fladda pitched six strong innings earlier in the tourney to no decision against some other club. His JC season is now over. I don't see him listed on any top 400-500 draft lists for MLB. His high school career was disrupted by COVID and he didn't pitch much at all up until this year in college. I'd be surprised if he signs with a MLB club this year.
Re: Two Jr. college pitchers in the Tulane fold for '24 season
Any Delgado players open that we should have interest in?
