If he ends up being possible 1st round the exposure for school will be massive with the draft hoopla now

Unfortunately that all comes after the season is over and doesn't draw any attention to us during the year (when attention would help get poll votes), nor does it "talk us up" for the following year since we'd be starting a new QB. But fortunately, if it happens, it likely means we had the kind of 2023 we're all hoping for!

On a related note, all y'all that watch ESPN talking head shows and listen to sports talk radio better get used to hearing how god-like Caleb Williams is, because that's all you're likely to hear from August through April. I feel like it's even worse when in the back of our minds, we're all going, "yeah, but he LOST TO TULANE."

Caleb Williams is the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful human being I have ever known in my life.

For good reason.
And we would have won by 2 TDs, but for Caleb Williams.

Maybe more than 2. No doubt he was amazing.

Still doesn't mean we need to know every time he uses the bathroom. Same as we didn't really need to know (but were notified), over the years, about Brett Favre, Tiger Woods, Tim Tebow, Tom Brady, etc. I have a feeling Caleb is gonna get that treatment from August until the draft.

I like hearing about his holiness knowing we beat him!!

I’m curious if last season was good enough that we get mentioned like UCF, Cincinnati and Houston did on the College Football Live and other shows leading up to the season. Unfortunately I don’t think Pratt is going to be mentioned much, if at all, during the preseason.

Over the top accolades about personal characteristics,
like those Williams receives, recall to me "The Manchurian Candidate."

I’ve skimmed through the Cotton Bowl many times and I am pretty sure I heard them say that he walks on water.

We will get mentioned, because we will be ranked and those things pretty much cover all the ranked teams. And when they talk about us, they will mention Pratt. He may or not get mention on segments that are just QB-centric because there are too many other big names that will take up all the time.

To be fair, Williams did everything and then some to help his team win on Jan 2. It was coaches' playcalling, defense, and an inexplicable ST gaffe that cost them that game. Oh, and an unbreakable resilience by Mr. Pratt, especially that last drive!

This is true. While we like to say we beat him (with a bum leg), he did plenty enough to win.

As was mentioned in another thread, If they had an average or above average pac 12 QB we win that game by multiple scores.

Well… I can’t say I ever remember seeing a Tulane segment on College Football Live as early as July. Today’s show had a piece on us and the new teams coming in. The episode may repeat tonight or should be on ESPN+
