Point of order, with no uab ticket I can do an opponent close in geography or a ticket from a game on 9/30 in years past. Any preference or dealers choice?

Re: UAB JuJu Thread
For an opponent then, let's go a couple hours down the road and across a state border to a home game against our friends from Mississippi St. 1965 was a sad year in many ways, with a poor football season and our last ride in the SEC. This game was one of the bright spots, as Tulane held off a late rally via a denied 2-pt conversion to win 17-15. It would be our last SEC conference win. Let's get our first AAC conference win of the year and start the march to defending our title! Roll Wave!

PS this is my regular refrain - if you or anybody you know has ticket stubs they might part with please reach out via PM. I have precious few from the 2000s onward and given what our conference looks like going forward I'd love to have more tickets to match our opponents.

I actually might have a ticket stub from Tulane at UAB in 2003. Losman with 3 TD passes including 78 yards to THE REAL Roydell Williams, and Jovon Jackson with 183(!) yards and 2 TDs on the ground (85 of the yards and one of the TDs coming in a single play in the final minute to seal the win).
My wife is literally working on cleaning out our basement storage and if I have it, I know where it would be, but it's the deepest-buried box in the space...

Gawd, could you help me clean out my basement - after 55 years of marriage?.... I just want to throw a match in there....PeteRasche wrote: ↑Fri Sep 29, 2023 1:02 pm I actually might have a ticket stub from Tulane at UAB in 2003. I'm not allowed to help my wife, because she "has a plan". If I were allowed, 85% of the stuff would be at Goodwill or at the curb tomorrow.DCGreenie wrote: ↑Fri Sep 29, 2023 3:59 pmGawd, could you help me clean out my basement - after 55 years of marriage?.... That's right, and there are in theory tickets from our time as conference mates in cusa. I simply don't have any of those in my collection. It's far easier for me to find tickets from the 60s-90s than for the 2000s onward. That's when electronic tickets started becoming a thing and people didn't save the tickets that weren't mini works of art as often. The difference in our home tickets from the last years of Tulane stadium and the box office tickets from the early dome years are striking. Anyway, if I had a uab ticket I would've gone with that but I don't.Marathon Wave wrote: ↑Fri Sep 29, 2023 2:10 pmWell, we did play a game in B'ham few years ago.tulaneoutlaw wrote: ↑Fri Sep 29, 2023 8:20 am Point of order, with no uab ticket I can do an opponent close in geography or a ticket from a game on 9/30 in years past. If that box ever surfaces to the top of the flotsam and jetsam and you are willing to part with that ticket you know where to find mePeteRasche wrote: ↑Fri Sep 29, 2023 1:02 pm I actually might have a ticket stub from Tulane at UAB in 2003. Travis Jewett is excited to see how Tulane football does after a good preseason.
