Technically he should be tied for second since one of Scelfo’s wins is the’98 Liberty Bowl.

True.
Expecting him to pull ahead after the Memphis game.

Fritz now tied with Scelfo for 2nd All-Time. Let the debate begin on who was better for the Tulane Program in its history: Chris Scelfo or Willie Fritz?

And a future first round pick at QB!

Scelfo was an @sshole, every time I'd see him on campus I'd wave and say "hey coach, good game" or whatever and he'd just look at me like, "who is this peasant that's speaking in my presence?"

I've never seen a coach (on sidelines) with such a confused, perplexed look on his face.

I mean how many Tulane students would actually recognize the football coach?

Not many. I've spoken to numerous coaches: football, basketball, baseball, men's, women's. He was the worst.

At the huddle after the Friday Walkthrough at Tiger Stadium before the LSU game in 2001, Scelfo's speech was "Don't let them score a 100 on us. Don't embarrass me or yourselves tomorrow."

Never respected the man even a tiny bit after that.

When he was hired, he showed up to the Greenbackers meeting with a police “body guard”.

Oh, you too! He wanted to kick my ass one evening at a Red Stick Green Wave club meeting. Don't ever mispronounce his name to his face.
And, he does NOT deserve the 1998 Liberty Bowl win. That should go to Rich Rod.

I feel like I did as much for the liberty bowl win as a high school junior that hadn't heard of Tulane as Scelfo did

Took the bus up during my first week of freshman year! Good orientation for the next 20 years of Tulane football!
