Brandon Brown - UTSA

Post by tjtlja »

Watching UTSA vs. Troy and former Tulane DT Brandon Brown has been dominant. 6’2, 305 and can really move. Wonder what the back story is here because this kid is a monster.

UTSA can’t stop the run. That bodes well for us in CUSAAC.

He left after one semester. Sometimes a kid just isn’t a fit, sometimes a kid isn’t happy. He’s doing really well; so are we, last time I checked.

There’s been more than one of these guys in the Fritz era. I remember when we signed a small quick linebacker from Georgia named Monty Montgomery. The staff spoke of him as another Nico Marley. He also left after one semester, went to a JUCO and did well, then signed with Louisville where he was a starter. One of the ways we filled that gap he left was bringing in Nick Anderson in 2019.

LG, you are so correct. Just some fascinating stories. WF is a great judge of talent.

Kahlil McClain had a decent post-Tulane career as a wideout. Another one semester guy.
