Two new transfers commit to the Wave

AJ Hampton, a cornerback from Northwestern, and Cameron Wire, an offensive tackle from LSU, both picked the Wave today. Both have one year of eligibility remaining.

Hampton made honorable mention All Big Ten in 2021. I hope he can play nickel or allow some experienced hand to do so as the help we need is in the middle of the secondary, really.

Wire has started at least six games while at LSU. He should be a good addition if healthy, giving us three players whi have started games in college at OT.

Was wire having injury problems?

I got updated by Twitter. Wire started 11 games while at LSU. He’s played both tackle and guard, like Trey Tuggle has here.
