Plus Claybrook was mugging #49 on basically every play of that drive.Cheerleader wrote: ↑Sun Jan 08, 2023 12:20 pm In watching these over and over, I saw that on the 4th down when Pratt scrambles and hits Bauman for the first down, we had a lineman about 4 yards in front of the line of scrimmage before he threw the pass. Glad they didn't call it.

Re: CONSOLIDATED LIST OF COTTON BOWL HIGHLIGHT LINKS
I added two videos that were linked within this thread to the original list (second post) plus a NEW one, which was posted by the AAC on Facebook. It's pretty good, check it out. It combines audio from ESPN with Gloor's calls.
P.S. In case you were wondering, there's a limit to how many URL links you can include in a single post, so if we end up with more than 20 links, they'll end up being at the end here...

Pete, that fan made video that you posted in your second post on the first page of this thread was fabulous. I am not sure who made that one, but was so well done. I cried all over again watching it!
Proud to be a Dome regular, a Fogelman fanatic, and a Turchin junkie!

He was only called for it once.ml wave wrote: ↑Mon Jan 09, 2023 11:39 amPlus Claybrook was mugging #49 on basically every play of that drive.Cheerleader wrote: ↑Sun Jan 08, 2023 12:20 pm In watching these over and over, I saw that on the 4th down when Pratt scrambles and hits Bauman for the first down, we had a lineman about 4 yards in front of the line of scrimmage before he threw the pass. Yes Pos!
Let’s get real!
Watch the hook moves of USC’s left tackle in the first half and compare that to Claybrook on “the drive”.
Time for a shout-out to 79 Joey Claybrook who improved tremendously this year. Held USC 1st team All-American to two total tackles. Admittedly both were great: pushing Spears out at the 3 on a pure effort play and the sack of Pratt on the first play of “the drive”.
But otherwise shutout.

I think it’s mentioned above but USC OL got a head start on almost every play.

Tulane Football posted a great new video of the team "behind the scenes" yesterday. I added it to the list in the first two posts.

Pete, Great video. Thanks again to make it easier to watch this stuff thirty times this off-season.
Meanwhile”We Break the Internet” Anderson’s pregame speech was great but I couldn’t catch what Willie said at halftime. Any interpretation here for this old deaf fan?

Well he used g-d, which shocks me considering he won't even say (and spells out) a-s-s in The Current. Between that and the leak of his chant prior to win surfing (includes the s word), he's gotta hate having public clips of him cursing.Baywave1 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 11, 2023 11:49 am Pete, Great video. But he basically says we're going to come back and win and he wants nothing but positive energy on the sidelines.

Re: CONSOLIDATED LIST OF COTTON BOWL HIGHLIGHT LINKS
The leading CB highlight package on YouTube is now at 1.1 million views. So I channeled my inner Lindsey Scott 100 pages or bust attitude and made myself watch again.
Maybe this has peaked but if Lindsey can still play football then we can break the internet and go for two million views. So help out here
Final confession: I’m now freezing the frame to see if I can spot Yoggies in the stands during crowd shots.

I recommend listening to the game on the varsity app with Cory, Steve and Maddie I graduated in 96, married a 99 graduate and live in Houston. I had a long day at work, but decided a Natty light tonight and listening to the final 4:30 with our crew was the way to ease my bad day! We listened to it as a family again during dinner! We were all there in Arlington, but every time I listen I think we will lose! I may just put that final 4:30 on my phone and listen to it on a loop! “The magic season continues!”.

Re: CONSOLIDATED LIST OF COTTON BOWL HIGHLIGHT LINKS
Saturday morning and what else better to do than scroll through Youtube and look for Cotton Bowl videos I had not seen yet...
I found a cool fan video from high on opposite side of the stadium, showing a nearly-overhead view of the final plays and Tulane's crowd. Great to hear the way we sounded to those sitting on the other side (which I'd wondered about), even though I suspect it was even louder down low. The interesting thing I spotted in this video is that it sure looks like there could have been PI called on Bauman's winning catch; his body appears to make a big jolt (take a hit) well before the ball was even there. Doesn't matter, but it sure looked more that way here than in any other video I've seen.
I added it to the very first post in this thread.

Re: CONSOLIDATED LIST OF COTTON BOWL HIGHLIGHT LINKS
So Youtube is suggesting some interesting ones now
... this is an interesting perspective. The vlog of a young girl whose family are diehard Tulanians, and who attended with her brother and (I guess?) parents. She's an experienced Youtube Vlogger (a few thousand followers) so the video is cut in that fashion, but if you can tolerate that, it's a great diary of the emotions before, during, and after. I'm not going to put this on the original post (because there are probably lots out there to be found) but the game experience part is very authentic.

Makes me tear up . . . again.
Re: CONSOLIDATED LIST OF COTTON BOWL HIGHLIGHT LINKS
I watched it with my daughters and after the last TD I tried to tell them that I was allergic to something in the room. They didn’t buy it.

It’s not the play in itself, it’s the crowd reaction that gets me. It’s an audio /visual representation of the release of 40+ years of sitting through Tulane games and being rewarded with that.

Re: CONSOLIDATED LIST OF COTTON BOWL HIGHLIGHT LINKS
A thousand times this. That's honestly what keeps me watching and listening to the radio clips.
There are a decent number of fan videos on YouTube of the final score and ref call and PAT, showing the emotion. A few weeks ago, Tulane tweeted asking for people to share those. Quite a few were shared there (in that thread on Twitter) that aren't on YouTube as well (mine included). I love every one of them.

Wow, there's a lot of USC and/or Lincoln Riley hatred across college football that led to tons of Tulane love from seemingly every P5 school that day. It's crazy to see XII, PAC, and even SEC fans saying they'd love to have Tulane.nolasilver wrote: ↑Mon Jan 23, 2023 8:25 pm https://www.reddit.com/r/CFB/comments/1 ... ame=iossmf

Re: CONSOLIDATED LIST OF COTTON BOWL HIGHLIGHT LINKS
I think the amazing outpouring of support and interest on Reddit was everyone loves a good underdog story. Reddit CFB also has a very eclectic group of football fans P5/G5/FCS and the old proverb in effect- the enemy of my enemy is my friend (especially when it’s the spoiled entitled fans of USC).
I rewatched the clip mashup made by fans that had season highlights into the cotton bowl and absolutly started crying. At the end they talk about a whole new generations of fans and it was all waterworks from there. Roll wave

Re: CONSOLIDATED LIST OF COTTON BOWL HIGHLIGHT LINKS
Since we are still in the “it’s a good day with ten replays,” I noted something new on the Jenkins safety. The tackled RB remains motionless on the artificial turf for at least five seconds after he is tackled.
It was not because of injury. You have to turn the sound way up but through the crowd roar, you can distinctly hear him say, “Holy Batman! We just lost this game “ Then he slowly rises and moves to the USC sideline to exchange condolences with teammates.
