Re: CONSOLIDATED LIST OF COTTON BOWL HIGHLIGHT LINKS
One of my law partners, who started for LSU and football, told me today that the LSU fan forums were all extolling Tulane, and celebrating the Cotton Bowl win. I certainly hope that is true, although part of me is sad that they may not hate us as a rival anymore.

I love this view. The plays from behind the QB and the only sound is the PA announcer.

Many many many people in that cesspool known as tiger droppings hate us.

A Tulane student with excellent editing skills and impressive creativity has put together an hour-long video with highlights of the entire year. He posted a thread with a link on the other board.
I didn't think I needed another hour-long video until I watched it. More damp eyes.

Re: CONSOLIDATED LIST OF COTTON BOWL HIGHLIGHT LINKS
The Houston game is great. I'd forgotten about the Aaron Judge interruption.

Re: CONSOLIDATED LIST OF COTTON BOWL HIGHLIGHT LINKS
That was extremely well done.
Re: CONSOLIDATED LIST OF COTTON BOWL HIGHLIGHT LINKS
I remember it -because whenever I take a break from watching the last 5 minutes of the Cotton Bowl, I watch the last 5 minutes of the Houston game, or the Cincy game, or the AAC Championship, or, my favorite, the K State game!PeteRasche wrote: ↑Mon Jan 30, 2023 9:40 pm The Houston game is great. BTW, you should post your video of the 4th down stop v. Cincy.

Re: CONSOLIDATED LIST OF COTTON BOWL HIGHLIGHT LINKS
I was going to add the season summary video discussed above to first two posts but then had the thought we should probably have a separate thread of 2022 season highlights and put it there. My video clip from Cincy would belong in that, I suppose.GSx wrote: ↑Tue Jan 31, 2023 6:47 pmI remember it -because whenever I take a break from watching the last 5 minutes of the Cotton Bowl, I watch the last 5 minutes of the Houston game, or the Cincy game, or the AAC Championship, or, my favorite, the K State game!PeteRasche wrote: ↑Mon Jan 30, 2023 9:40 pm The Houston game is great. Honestly the Cincy clip nows pales severely in comparison to almost every clip from the CCG and CB. It was huge at the moment but has been eclipsed. I'm fine with it.

Re: CONSOLIDATED LIST OF COTTON BOWL HIGHLIGHT LINKS
I don't think it's been eclipsed (wouldn't have been there without it) but it's not CB.PeteRasche wrote: ↑Tue Jan 31, 2023 8:02 pm .

You could put the sky cam view of the CB I posted on the sticky link; it's a unique view and relevant.

Done. Added to first post.
The view of the final pass to Watts (non-targeting) really shows what an amazing throw it was, much more so than the regular TV view. Cleared a defender by inches and fit in a very tight window.

Re: CONSOLIDATED LIST OF COTTON BOWL HIGHLIGHT LINKS
I just ran across a video that the "Cotton Bowl Classic" account posted on Facebook just last week. It's a montage of the whole week for both teams, but obviously ends with us as champs.
I put it at the bottom of the second post of the thread.
Also, it appears that all the videos that the Cotton Bowl posted during the week leading up to the game (on social media) got dumped to YouTube just this afternoon, so if you aren't on social media, you can find them under the "Cotton Bowl Classic" YouTube channel. There are too many to post here and they're easy to find as a batch if you just look up the channel.

Re: CONSOLIDATED LIST OF COTTON BOWL HIGHLIGHT LINKS
I'm not going to add this to the front page but I somehow just ran across this. Dan Patrick interviewing - and harassing - Mark Sanchez about the loss to Tulane. Patrick calls out USC and Sanchez fully admits the array of dumb stuff USC did to lose that game, from the kickoff botch to the read option from the 1 yard line to the lack of defense allowing conversions of two 4th downs. But as Patrick says... Tulane won because "Tulane WANTED it."

Re: CONSOLIDATED LIST OF COTTON BOWL HIGHLIGHT LINKS
Longshot here, but I'll ask anyway: I have the complete recordings of the main ESPN and skycam feed of the Cotton Bowl, but didn't rip the postgame trophy presentation before The Mouse took it off of their website. Did anyone get that? It's the only piece missing from my archive. I'd be bummed if it's lost to history but at least I was there.

Contact the guy that did the hour long year in review video, there are clips on his video that indicate he grabbed it (the actual transition from the game to the post game is in his).

Re: CONSOLIDATED LIST OF COTTON BOWL HIGHLIGHT LINKS
ESPN does a postgame feed of all the bowl/conference championship trophy presentations that's usually ~25-30 minutes long with interviews/MVP trophy presentation etc. I have the one for the AAC title game. This is not quite it but still useful to archive. Thanks!gerryb323 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 21, 2023 10:51 amLike this?1309th WAVE wrote: ↑Mon Feb 20, 2023 10:45 pm Longshot here, but I'll ask anyway: I have the complete recordings of the main ESPN and skycam feed of the Cotton Bowl, but didn't rip the postgame trophy presentation before The Mouse took it off of their website. I have several videos on my hard drive at home but honestly don't remember if I pulled that one and I won't be home until next week. Can check then.1309th WAVE wrote: ↑Tue Feb 21, 2023 5:31 pmESPN does a postgame feed of all the bowl/conference championship trophy presentations that's usually ~25-30 minutes long with interviews/MVP trophy presentation etc. I have the one for the AAC title game. The above video was suggested to me by YouTube's algorithm! I came here to post. If you haven't watched this you really, really need to watch it. You know, every time I watch these videos it seems someone is cutting onions...
Sports Talk radio and most sports message boards are the killing fields of intellectual discourse.
