Likely to be a three score favorite in this one. Hopefully the team gets things firing on all cylinders

UAB’s one victory was by 29 points against a winless FCS team that Nicholls would probably beat by 3 touchdowns

They lost by double digits to two average sun belt teams and gave up a lot of points in both games.

Had a decent effort against the number 1 team in a game they had virtually no chance in.

On paper Tulane will be heavy favorites but we’ll obviously get UAB’s best shot. They will be fired up. We need to start fast and take it to them

UAB seems to have a short/controlled passing game and isn't as run-oriented as many other teams. Pressure the QB and concentrate on making tackles in space to prevent yards after the catch and the Wave should be fine.

We didn't fall as much as I feared in sp+. 38th with a rating of 7.6, basically even with last week. Memphis fell back behind us at 41st, 6.5. Uab is way back at 104th, -13 so sp+ would have us as something like a 23 point favorite at home this week. That's rich for my blood, but 3 scores seems about right.

I strongly agree. A good showing and voters will have forgotten about the Nicholls game

I can only hope Fritz can see it within himself to do that.

Sorry but why is it obvious we will get their best shot and they will be fired up? They are a legit 21 point underdog for a reason. Why does it matter what they think?

Exactly this. For every time we really wanted to beat UCF, Houston or Cincinnati, the current teams want to beat us.

I just watched the “highlights” from the UAB / Georgia game. Here some observations:

1. Georgia had about 6 starters out (according to a comment by a Georgia fan).
2. One of UAB’s TDs was after Georgia fumbled during a punt return deep in their own territory.
3. The other UAB TDs were against the second and third string.
4. Keeping in mind this is highlights, but every Georgia offensive highlight has UAB missed tackles, players out of position and defenders that couldn’t keep up with receivers.

I saw on Twitter someone mentioned that Grubbs went into the tent and the poster never saw him return. Anyone see or hear anything about him being hurt?

I’d be fine with a 21 point win. I’d be ecstatic with a 30+ pt win!

Man, I hope not. I commented elsewhere that I didn't hear his name mentioned and thought perhaps it was a function of us playing a base defense with no blitzing, or maybe they just rested him a lot. I did see him on the sideline in a huddle once (helmet off).

He's played great since Platt went down, we really don't need another LB out.

He eased the pain of losing Platt and was turning into a leader here.

He walked into the tent on his own power and wasn’t in there super long. That’s all I know.

Look, UAB's defense is putrid. Yes they had to play UGA, but they also got lit up by ULL and Georgia Southern. We should have no trouble scoring 40+ in this game. Their offense has a little pop, but if our defense plays up to snuff this should not be close. Our OL needs to show something in this one.

That predicts a 41-15 win. I think we’d be pleased by that.

Beating them by more than the #1 team in the country did... yeah, that would work.

Opposing teams have scored 40+ in their 3 losses. We need to maintain that stat.
