Do everything we can.

Oregon coach Lanning during press conference:

"It wouldn't matter if I was playing my 10-year-old son on the other sideline, I'm going to do everything I can to win," Lanning said. "If I'm playing Bill Belichick, I'm going to do everything I can to win. Did I go for it on fourth down? Yeah, I have every game this year; I've done it nine times. Did I go for a two-point conversion? Yeah, I've done it three out of the four games this year.

And if we play again tomorrow, I'm going to do the same thing. I'm going to do everything I can to win the game and everything I can to motivate my team."

Uniform prediction.
I'm going green blue green.
I think we should favor blue since they are green

There are too many green teams in the AAC BTW. And too many Owls.

Surprisingly, UAB is averaging 28 points per game, just a half point less than our 28.5. Ours should have an asterisk by it, but they have scored 35, 35, 21, & 21.

They allow an average of 36.25 (includes 6 to a bad fcs). Our defense is allowing 16 per game.

We can't afford to give them easy points - turnovers resulting in short fields.

Missed FG's.

FG/punts blocked.

No interceptions in the endzone!!!

And stop with the 90 yards on penalties. That alone is worth 7 pts.

I am amending my uniform prediction. Blue Helmets, Blue jerseys, white pants. Why, well in practice this week the team is wearing white headgear, which usually means the other headgear, blue previously worn in practice, is being cleaned and fitted out for the Saturday game.

Probably right as a sneak preview last night looks like it will be blue helmets.

Makes sense with another green team coming in.

I think we will wear all blue. Maybe white pants, but that preview makes me think all blue.

I honestly think we keep the blue and green combos for the "bigger" games. Of course this year that would only be homecoming and presumably UTSA (though that's kinda dying)... and the AAC CG!

That's one way to look at it-- there is another (negative) way of looking at it...... I guess this, ahem!, guy would not have taken a knee with USA but would have run up the score to 44 points for the Wave. Fritz comes from an older coaching ethos......

Without Frank Harris, USTA is a solid 2nd or 3rd rate team.

They will save ALL blue for either homecoming or the CCG.

Blue with white pants, maybe.

I'm betting blue/green combo, or mostly green.

If you watched the game, you'd have seen, he "ran" up the score in the first half. Fake punt, going for TD with seconds left in half. But these, to me, aren't considered "running up the score". He took out his starting QB to start the 4Q. I love what Fritz has done with the program. One thing I'd like to see is him trying to score toward the end of the half. This just doesn't seem to be an urgency to him. I mean, when we have the ball and there's more than 1 minute left. Let's run an offense designed to get down the field - even if we just kick a FG. We finally have a guy who can do that (kick a FG).

Tulane clearly underperformed last week. That was a looooong game to attend. Yet Tulane won by 29 points. Convert the end zone interceptions to TDs and it wins by 50-7 or so.

Interestingly if Outlaw/SP+ were right, Tulane with that score still would not have covered spread. So lesson is don’t bet massive spreads and don’t be too upset when your team wins by 4+ TDs.
